Happy New Year Simply, not sure why it's been so consistent except I've ditched the music for now so maybe I'm concentrating more on my actual running!:o

Happy New Year all! Yes, I'm still alive although I haven't been running for about 2 weeks now due to Christmas, being ill, being away with work, the weather (snow!) si when I go back to the running club on Tuesday it's going to be hell! I'm planning on going on the treadmill at the gym tomorrow to ease myself back into it. I have the Kilomathon on 14th March so my training plan for that starts next week which is going to be tough!!
Also I got engaged on Christmas morning (a surprise!) and have planned the wedding for 25th September - the week after the Great North Run and I am wanting to lose 3 stone between now and then :)
Good wine needs to breathe, if it stops breathing try mouth to mouth.

Hello and welcome Annie - sorry I was rude and didn't greet you before it's been a bit hectic round here recently. Sorry to hear about the blisters hopefully they'll heal quickly and won't hold you back.
Please don't apologise, you are not at all rude.

Well my plea in freecycle has been answered and I am now the proud owner of 2 pairs of walking boots (one of which has been up Kilomanjara!!) I hope they fit (waiting for cool feet) I am planning another walk tomorrow with a friend.

Good luck with the boots and second walk Annie :)

Mascott - we were wondering where you'd got too on our way into Chinatown earlier - how timely! Nice to see you are still running - am I right in thinking you are doing London as well as Chick?
  • Congratulations k_bagpuss - what a lovely Christmas surprise :T

Hi mascott; good to see you again - hope the running has been going well.

evab - I think you could be right about the music - I much prefer running without it now. I think I 'feel' my pace better, if you know what I mean?

Excellent result on the boots Annie - I hope they fit ok and you find them comfortable tomorrow.

It was mainly due to the fact that I couldn't find the batteries for my MP3 and I refuse to buy any more as they are rechargeable ones and they must be here somewhere! But I am liking the no music thing, might leave it for parts of long runs when I get back to that stage.

Rich please could you add my first intended race of the year to the list:

Nick Beer 10K Road Race 07/02/2010

This is the one up the Great Orme so after a few more 3 milers it will be getting back up to 10km distance plus plenty of hill work!

    Many thanks Squire!
