Well done BT
I just opened my results to find they've made a mistake and I am now 23:50 - shame its two positions above the place I actually finished in - need the results list to go live then I can email them to change it...shame it would up me wava a bit0 -
Thank you!
That will be the 65 seconds I lost by missing the start the last time I ran Bromley. I knew there was a good time waiting for me there! Delighted to start the new year on a new WAVA. I don't expect improvements to be that quick from here on in
Of course!!
That seemed like a big improvement in the small time since the last one but in reality you had got that improvement in the bag already waiting to be unleashed when the opportunity arose.
That Crispy Challenge is looking a lot more realistic now...:D
I've got 1:40 to go to target, you've got 1:44 and Becky has [STRIKE]1:50[/STRIKE] 2:12 to go. Getting interesting!:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Did my first in 'runner in training' walk today, set out to do over 3 miles with route in hand from mapmyrun but sadly only managed 1.64 miles as I got the dreaded blisters. New trainers and not enough sock was the cause. So I am on freecycle as we speak asking for some size 8 walking boots/shoes. Will try again tomorrow armed with better footwear, plasters and spare socks. Dog loved it and I really enjoyed getting out.0

Hi Annie - well done on the walk
Dont worry your feet will toughen up quickly - I remember mine were in agony in the first few times!!
For the blisters - try some compeed plasters - they are quite expensive but last really well and should stay on during exercise and showering etc...
Glad you enjoyed it and dont feel bad you didnt make the whole distance - you'll be there soon enough0 -
Oh dear poor Chick - it seems her race tomorrow is postponed due to poor conditions
It must be bad though because Brian Porter is the referee and he's a tough cookie!!0 -
Well done becky and rich on your race today, and congratulations beer tins on your new pb:j.
Great to see you getting out Annie, keep it up!
Good luck tomorrow Simply, shame about Chick and JJ's run.
Another steady run for me today, managed a much more even pace the whole route so felt better.

Nice running Evab - Simply better look out or you might be stealing 'the most consistent' title0

Awww, and I was looking forward to tomorrow's race as well. Never mind, at leasd DH checked online and discovered that it was off before we got up early and set off! I was going to run today, just a little 3 or 4-miler, but I have a tight hamstring so I decided to rest it instead. I'll still run in the morning, but no race means I can really take it easy and do a LSR with my ipod instead of being caught up in the racing frenzy and being tempted to run faster than I really should!
I got a £5 Sweatshop voucher at the Ribble Valley 10k, so me and DH are just off there as he wants some off-road trainers so he can run up Welsh hills!
Well done one more Parkrun fun to Beer Tins, Rich and Becky. I still haven't made it to a Parkrun yet, although Tuesday's club handicap must have been similar.
Evab - well done on your run too. Nice and steady will give youe some good improvement.
Annie - I can second Becky's recommendation of Compeed blister plasters. They are expensive but great. Much better than the Boots or Scholl ones too.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

I think you might be right Becky I seem to be all over the place at the moment and evab is most certainly being consistent. Good stuff evab
Well done to beer tins - an excellent result :T
Hello and welcome Annie - sorry I was rude and didn't greet you before it's been a bit hectic round here recently. Sorry to hear about the blisters hopefully they'll heal quickly and won't hold you back.2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910
