Thanks x
Evab - very MSE!! Hope you are feeling better soon.
Simply - I'm not sure that I would describe it as "enjoying" as it was really warm out there today but it wasn't as bad as I expected!! lol
Edit - Evab!! how can you talk about chocolate cake!! I am sat here looking at my pork salad and dreaming of choc cake & custard now!! (weigh in tomorrow morning so I better resist!! )Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
Simply, Well done on your half, its been said before but you are so consistant with your times! I could definately learn a thing or two from you..... I always set off like a steam train and fall apart!
I am pulling out of my half this weekend as I have had a virus for two weeks. Went out for a quick 4miler tonight and felt good so I think im getting there.!

That's a shame mascott but it's better to be on the safe side if you've not been well. There'll be plenty more races for when you're fully recovered.
Glad to hear that you're looking forward to it evab and you sound really positive too. :T2021 MFW No.18 £9900/£10,000Mortgage at 21.07.20 £178,999 Mortgage today £150,8910 -
Thanks guys - I love my medal! How many days can I wear it for before I look daft? ha ha!
Have KMStuart or Scorgeous posted their marathon results for Loch Ness? Wish I'd got their numbers to see them over the line. It was an amazing running event, the crowd were awesome!
The course was all road and mostly downhill - woo hoo! i got to 5K in a record 28:40 for me, but once I got to 7K I was soooo tired, not hurting, just wondering where the energy to carry on was going to come from. But I made it and felt so good for it.
Too many posts since I've been away, but all very exciting!
My dilemna now is going to be when to run, I'm back at work full time, and so it's very dark by the time I can get out to run now, and too many parks and quiet areas. What does everyone else do? do you just brave it and after a while not feel unsafe?0 -

When im out running, and looking the part the local youths dont bother with you. They may say stuff but i have the iPod on loud anyway.
If things did happen, you could simply run off as i doubt they would keep up...in pace & distance.0 -
Ha, like your style Alias!
Oh, when did it all become about the medal? But it so is! Bristol - shiny medal, oh grief - it's a half marathon - argh!0 -
