Nice running Rich; good luck for Sunday I hope the weather is kind to you.
Theres still some work to be done on that consistency, Simply - I find it hard to believe that you didnt have one single mile at the same time......poor, very poor!;)
As far as the weather is concerned for tomorrow, its looking like we can expect something close to freezing......at least thats an incentive to keep shifting along.
Oooo, Becky has just got got back from her early morning run....13.1 miles in 2:08:52 (9:50/mile) taking her weekly mileage to 37.25 miles with tomorrow to add on. She found it very comfortable which is encouraging considering there were two 400ft+ hills along the way.:DGt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

I suppose at this stage, it is more about making the effort to get out there and back into some sort of routine, rather than anything else.
well done becky on a good run this morning.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Half of tonight's run was run in pitch black - the whole village has had a power cut and the moon is clouded over....so a little tricky knowing where to put the old feet.
Anyway, got home unscathed so no worries.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j

Didnt know about that race, Bj....GOOD LUCK!
In terms of clothing, keep options simple by wearing a long sleeved t-shirt (so that you can roll the sleeves up if required) and wear an old pair of socks on your hands (with ends cut off) which can be rolled up to your wrists once you warm up.:D

Rich - If you run the same 10k route surely you should know where the dodgy bits of ground are by now
Should try cycling routes in the dark now thats fun
Yeah my bike has a front light and i had my head torch on but you still go to fast to dodge things so knowign the route is vital.

Well done everyone on some great running here.
Good luch Rich on your race tomorrow. I hope it is less eventful that last week's race
Becky - Well done on becoming debt-free. And you seem to be getting back into the stride of things. A good run this morning.
I have really been enjoying my running this week - such a stress-buster at the end of the day. I seem to have recovered some fitness recently and I'm loving the feeling that I can just run and enjoy myself without it feeling like hard work.
I'm off out on the trails again in the morning. I even bought some new trail shoes today, so I can't wait to try them out.Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

That is exactly what I want to achieve chick.....and the stress relief would be a very welcome addition right now, I have to say!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Hey - socks are a good idea! I'm off to bed now, so tired, don't know how I'll get around 10K!0
