Tq - keep it at and the time will come back eventually!

Macott - hello! Nice to hear the runs are going well :D I dont think anyone has so it would be another to add to the list of completed ones - get on it I say ;) Glad to hear the style stuff is helping - I am definitely finding it easier on the shorter runs, but I find it hard to keep that up for the longer ones as I get tired - I'm hoping that will come with time...hope Sunday goes well :D
  • cheers Becky,
yeah Im not sure if I can keep going for those longer runs. I have noticed an increase in cadence also, by a couple of steps p/m.

as for brighton, its probably not the closest to me, but might as well give it a try....

    Mon - 1 m wu/wd 8:13, 7:50, 7:45 - total 5 miles
    Tues - 6.2 miles tempo 54:20 8:46 mins/mile
    Weds - 6.2 miles recovery 63:00 10:10 mins/mile
    Thurs - 6.75 miles easy 60:35 8:58 mins/mile

Well I meant to do a longer and easier run than that but mismeasured - was surprised to be home in that time so double checked and was a bit short of what I wanted...

Anyway was probably a good thing I got back when I did as my flatmate was burning the kitchen down - literally oven on fire and smoke in the whole flat , and now all my lovely clean washing smells of smoke :rolleyes: Silly boy!

A gentle recovery run for me this morning - dry, mild and not too breezy. Very nice.

You were a bit speedy for an easy run Becky - it sounds like you got back just in time though.

Nice recovery Simply - I had to suffer that yesterday - gosh its boring ;)

I know didnt mean to be but its that new striding thing and the fact I have lost a bit of weight meaning that around the 9 minute miles just seems very comfy at the moment...it happens - for the last few months I feel like I have been pushing a heavy rock up a hill, but the last week or so I have felt like I a rolling one down all the time - I like it :D

This week is shaping up nicely. You can usually tell by the feel of the easy runs whether bouncing one 10 miler into another a week later is going to work....so far, so good.:D

Mascott - Nice to hear you've found some style improvements. It doesnt take much of a change to make significant impact when you consider that you're repeating the stride action 1,000 times per mile.

Simply - You're a robot (in the nicest possible way, of course!:p).

Becky - I think I'll keep away from London for a while, there seems to be too many pyromaniacs around.:rolleyes: Good little jaunt you had there - hope you've learnt your lesson to stop entering competitions and doing too many half marathons as a result!!!!;)

Edit : I refute any rumours that my paces this week are sponsored by Boeing!:p
