I come on here mainly if i have a problem or i want something to happen and then i look on here to see what the general concesus is.
I have noticed the posts form people who were struggling to sell have slowed right down and most of the members who post think house prices are going to crash, interest rates are going to go up and, most of them are saving loads of money for when or if this happens, so they can pick up a bargain.
Ive even noticed a lot of estate agents have stopped posting, is this due to them being more busy? or have they all lost their jobs?
I personally think its picking up and you usually find people go quiet when thingss are going there way, and they find it pointless to rise to the bait and argue..
I think most posters and opinions are based on what they want to happen and im also guilt of this, and not on the facts that are there in front of us.
what do you people think?
Now im currently buying a second home and thats my situation, after leaving you comment could you please also post what situation you are in now ie renting, buying, selling.,saving etcetc

I come on here as part of an aimless yet strangely enjoyable habit, a bit like smoking. I don't really know what I want to happen, aside from nice, good stuff in the main. Now im currently buying a second home and thats my situation, after leaving you comment could you please also post what situation you are in now ie renting, buying, selling.,saving etcetc
I can't sleep so I'm about to watch Jurassic Park on ITV2. Does that answer your question?0 -

I hope you havn't had 88 problems already this month 'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0 -
I'm still not sure why I come on here!
I haven't been joining in much just recently, not because of any change in the economy or house prices (none here yet!) but because my youngest son has started High School and is not coping particularly well and also because I have been preparing for and writing my end of course assignment for my degree via OU.
Which is due in tomorrow......eeeeekkkkkk!!
Oh and I rent by the way....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I have a family member EA and he as posted a profit for the last 7 months. Last year was very difficult but things have picked up for him. He says lack of supply is a problem at the moment, quiet the opposite of last year.
As for why come on here, I like to have a debate and a bit of a joust on being right or wrong. I think in general I am a good decision maker, this forum helps me enforce that view or proves me wrong.0 -

One of my daughter's friends is an EA, she works for a local EA in a village office near us. As a lot of you probably know we live near Reading. I asked her a few weeks ago how business was and she said it had picked up quite a bit this year.
She quit her job to go travelling last year because things were so dire - but she was taken on again at the end of last year part time (she did the weekends) and was made full time again about February. So things must have improved.
I come on here for same reasons as Cleaver - it's a bit of a compulsion really - I can't explain it.0 -

That sums me up too. Its become one of my little foibles. Maybe we should have that meeting after all. Why do I come on here? To have a good laugh, and realise things could be a lot worse. I also like stirring up the occasional argument.

(Mind you, read through the boards and you will realise I am not the only one....);)SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)0 -

So we can have a debate today. Why do you personally take the view that now is a good time to buy a second property ?
I have no direct or indirect interest in house prices other than I own one as a home.
Putting my business hat on. I tend to find most people retreat to their rabbit holes when times are tough. If you're successful then publicity is the name of the game.
Why am I here? There are numerous intelligent posters from all sectors of life and business that enable one to have a more balanced view.0
