I post here because I have nothing better to do. Besides, where else would I get the wit and wisdom that comes from such a mixed bag of individuals.
Possibly the pub at kicking out time ?
PS
if you google image Peelerfart - that isn't really me !.
If it was I would be far too busy to post hereSpace available for rent0 -
I think a lot of people can not even give a straight answer on here like i said im currently buying a home, i dont own it yet but im hoping to.
Now i believe things are picking up and that is why im buying and thats my opinion.
If people think houses are going to crash give your opinion yes, but i bet you 9 out of the 10 people who post about houses crashing will benefit through it, so why dont they just admit it?
If you have sneaked downstairs without waking mommy and daddy up, to watch jurasic park well done, one day you might have your own living room to watch it in.0 -

You've given the most evasive answer of the day.
Markets don't pick up. Or for that matter fall down. Without influencing factors that determine peoples views as to buy, sell or hold.0 -

Over time one learns the ambitions of regulars. I don't think anyone posting who wants to buy hasn't expressed that, simialrly some have bought in tht time and are really happy.
I admit prices falling helps us with buying ,, and have said the same many times. the type of property we are looking at over a very broad area is not rising. We were getting ready to buy when I stumbled in here, and I'm jolly glad we didn't in retrospect. The continued crash of the economy however, is not useful to us. If I had to choose between the property we want and DH having a job to pay for it I'd choose the latter.
Our position is we returned to UK twoish years ago and have been wanting to buy for a long time. Over time what we can buy for our money has increased and is not yet increasing, however, the primary importance to us is buying the right property. We would have bought, and came near, buying at any time, and would buy immeadiately the property we feel is right for us somes on the market. The biggest hindrance to that was for a long time very little of the ilk we are searching for came on the market.
I'll also say I have discussed a few properties with people from here both on open forum (one became a really lovely friendly thrad with bearish and bullish posters both) and this has been most helpful function of the board. One of the key moments was when discussing a property in PM with PasturesNew she pointed out that what I was describing was not the want for he property we were losing our heads over, but the want for a property, and that in the cold light of day, with a pro and minus list, the minuses of that property were heavily weighted.
I think thats quite open? Certainly no more open than I've been before though.:o
BTW, your comment about jurasic park is directed very inappropriately. Not everyone has two parents, and that poster recently sold one of his two properties.0 -

Blimey, who rattled your cage? You unpleasant little thing you.
I suppose if you want me to be honest it would take a lot to wake my Mum up, considering she is dead. And up until recently I technically owned two living rooms in two different properties. Oh yes. Does that make me amazing in your eyes? The two living rooms I mean, not that I have a dead parent.0 -

Sugar, I did deliberate phrase the parent bit so that it was not excessively open:rolleyes: and refering to you.
I did  when I read it though

I hope you havn't had 88 problems already this month
I was chatting to a mate of mine, Jay, the other week who was telling me that he's had 99 problems recently. Luckily he's having no issues with the missus, so that isn't one of his problems. Which I was pleased to here. Nice guy, bit flashy though.0 -

Talking about shoes, I have just started some gentle hiking and have bought proper hiking boots. I am thrilled with them. I'm too scared these days to even try on high heels. But, of course, used to wear them the first time around.
