new_home_owner wrote: »basically what i see is you get the same old poster's posting the same about house crashes this and that, and its their belief its really going to happen and that they think because of the situation they are going to gain from it.
Likewise its with hamish's post's they are all about the market picking up, obviously he must be relying on it for some reason, likewise the people who post about house prices going to fall all the time must have to benefit by this happening, otherwise why would you post everything that is published about house prices crashing and house prices rising?
To be honest i find it very boring thats why i like to know what personal gain posters have by the post's of house crash or gain will effect them.
If its a secret then fair enough, but if you have so much of a strong opinion of house price crashes and raises, why not say what sitiuation you are currently in??
Are you all embarressed?
Someone spouting about house prices falling/rising is very boring, but when you get someone posting it all the time you begin to feel its not really a opinion its what they want to happen, and they seem to think the more they post about it the more chance it is going to happen.
I see it were i work they have a policy of last in first out, the people who have not been there very long say it shouldnt be done like that and it should be done on skills, however people who have been there years think it should be done on service.
We are a very selfish population, ive read post's about people gazumping, gazundering and most of the post's from people who continuously post about house price falls , dont actually own a house and are hoping for them to fall enough for them to be able to buy one, i dont blame them for this, but these post's now just smell of despearation.
Hasnt anyone actually got any new material???
I think the lack of response to your questions and posts might be due to their apparant lack of any coherent point. I genuinely have no idea what you're going on about.0 -
New material? Probably not. There's only one of two ways it can go.
Selfish population? Yeah, human nature's got even worse but look at our leaders, who set themselves up as role models.
The sweeping statements? True for some ... say it enough and it'll become a self-fulfilling prophesy.
But that's not the whole story. Lots of posters state what they see and what they think, even if that doesn't bode well for them. We're not all ostriches with our heads in the sand.
As for me, I think the economy is far from repaired and I still expect a lot of unwinding to come. I believe house prices should drop to realistic and more affordable levels, where people who work hard and want to buy stand a chance of doing so and still being able to afford to eat.
And guess what? I have a low LTV mortgage with approx 200k equity in my house. But I have no wish to move. If I sell, then I have to buy somewhere else anyway. It's not real money, I didn't earn it and it doesn't influence my thinking.
HTH.
Edit:- Well, I have earned a fair proportion of it tbh and paid it off the mortgage already!

At least there are some people who can see what im trying to put over, thats why i think this forum as gone down hill. Theres not enough people that do state what they see, and to be honest you can see that by the way they have responded to the thread with shallow answers.
Its the likes of cleaver, who just make sarcatsic remarks to get thanks from the other muppet brigade, that make me laugh.....0 -
We are responding with shallow answers because, frankly sweetie, the incoherent nonsense you type isn't worthy of a considered reply.new_home_owner wrote: »At least there are some people who can see what im trying to put over, thats why i think this forum as gone down hill. You leave my muppet brigade alone. And it's more of a bitter sneering, bitter cynicism rather than just middle of the road sarcasm.
So what's your situation again Home Owner? Are you renting out your old place and buying a new place? I can't quite remember. I'll try and engage in some debate and discussion with you.0 -
