Feral youths

Problem is, (in my experience) the police act far too much like social workers now. Kids do not have any fear of them0

i wish it was. We paid 170 for a new double glazed window in the back kitchen. We have very large windows as its a period property. There are two large chips out of it already.
Our home is in a really nice area but the park facing encourages idiots .The fact there is no lighting in the park means that they can hide.0 -
Is there not a local councillor you can have a word with lolababy?Nature wants the human race to survive. However, it does not depend on us because we are not its only invention.0

Hi we live next door to the councillers daughter. They have had their door smashed.0

I think things like this happen more and more and its becoming so much of a common occurance that the police just dont have the resources or the time to deal with every incident that happens like this so they are classed as a low priority (which is totally wrong).
Like I said it will take a good Prime Minister to sort out this feral youth culture. It could be done but there would have to be drastic changes made to a number of our laws.Nature wants the human race to survive. However, it does not depend on us because we are not its only invention.0 -
Like what kind of laws?0

Rebellion and anti-social behaviour is nothing new. There were mods and rockers declaring all out war on the streets in the 70s, and Britain was rife with racism and football hooliganism in the 80s. Social unrest is a constant - the Daily Mail just picks up on the more extreme cases and creates a moral panic around it, leading people to believe the situation is getting worse.
That said, being the victim of anti-social behaviour can't be fun and I have great sympathy for that lady and her daughter, and anyone suffering in a similar way. I hope you get the situation sorted, OP.

Yes there were the mods rockers etc but if my parents & any parent in the street for that matter , heard any off us being cheeky to adults we would have been punished
i really do think respect has gone out the window
I really cannot remember any kids drinking in the sreets when i was growing upResolve not to be poor, Whatever you have , Spend less.0 -
I think that all power has been taken from all in authority including parents. That's the problem.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
