Have been spending toooooo much money today. Did an online order for tesco for 4 x72 nappies £40 (2 packs for £20) plus 10 packs of huggies wipes at £1 each. Used voucher code for £5 off £50 so total cost £48
THEN went to tesco to get essentials and spent tesco cc vouchers so have enough to keep us going for a couple of weeks!
THEN went to makro inpromptu and stocked up on kitchen roll, main xmas pressie for my 2 year old (so all kids now done) a huge 25kg bag potatoes (4.49), 2 tubs sandwich filler reduced for sons lunches (which i then made into 7 days sandwiches and froze, and froze rest of sarnie filler) a big box of space raidersoh dear total was like 60 and that lot was £35 so i better get receipt out of the car lol.
Ideally will now spend nothing until 20th dec time when i will buy groceries for xmas dinner but things could be a hell of a lot tougher as HB has been suspended while they make amendments to claim  and as they are so god damn incompetent and have already taken about 3 weeks to get this far it looks like my savings will have to be called over to cover the rent this month  i don't know why they cannot just listen to what i say and continue the claim and then adjust it!!!!!! I am so peeved with them.
Better news - i emailed sky to cancel 6th nov and they ignored me so again on 26th and they rung today and said why leaving so told them about their  service and they said need to give 31 days notice so i told them to check their records so he is letting us keep the sky till 4th jan but last payment was 31st nov. No good really as we now have virgin (H2B paying) but that is £25 i am better off a month.DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debtsJust to see which month

Just caught up on everyones news. It has been busy last few days so only just been able to sit at the computer now. Sent a quick pm to SM yesterday from sil comp. We picked up the dryer and then went on to dd2 for tea and had a long cuddle with my latest gd.
SF well done.
Frankie sorry about your news. I would check to see if Murphy's cousin is hiding under the bed (he himself is with us at the moment:)
Bails I hope you are feeling a bit better now. Things will work out soon enough it just may not be the right time yet.0 -
Just made the most fantastic soup from veggies left over in my fridge that at one time I would have thrown away. Found some pearl barley in the back of the cupboard and threw that in as well. Added some bits and pieces from the freezer to the chicken stock I made from left over chicken carcass.Feel really pleased with myself made a meal for next to nothing and got compliments on my cooking all evening. Think I'm going to enjoy the frugal challenge of 4k budget in 2010. Take care everyone0

Hi everyone, my mojo is alive and kicking :rotfl:
Getting all excited about the new challenge too, and can't even take part for several months :rotfl:
My pupils here are amazing. If you ever get the chance to meet some Tibetans, they truly are wonderful, warm-hearted people. I know Tibet always receives a lot of attention, and TBH I haven't necessarily 'bought into' that (there are many, many peoples suffering across the world at the hands of others as well) but these people have a special place in my heart - despite their ordeals (and some of them have truly terrible stories) they are always smiling and laughing. I had to tell them today that I will be leaving soon; that was hard.
Have a great day everyone; I'm off for a late breakfast of timomo, my 18p favouriteThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

After just a few hours sleep i am feeling pretty pants today. Plus i have all 3 kids at home as the 2 school going ones are ill again! Plus my ears are hurting so there is mucho snot, moaning, coughing and headaches in our house!
Dog does not want to be in kitchen and keeps delivering pups onto the sofa so i have moved her bed to the front room. Probably disgusted with how cold it is today but then not much better in here. Youngest 2 are snuggled in their snuggly buggles (what we call fleecey all in ones) and eldest is warm. We have a duvet over us on the sofa.
I have to go to work this afternoon to do some cover. Think of the money, think of the money! I have soooooooo much housework to do. Here with the 3 under 6 if you leave it for even 1/2 day it gets out of hand so having been working mega hard i have just got the kids room, landing and bathroom straight and because that has taken 3 days the rest of the house has gone to poop.
So, today consists of mucho coffee, mucho housework with a couple of hours work - all with 3 kids at home- at least i have a cottage pie ready made to be dumped into the oven! so just brekkie and lunch to deal with. Wish i had paper plates tho

Phew, found out what happened to the prices of the Ry@n@ir flights. It seems to depend on what time of the day you look and how many other people are looking. Late last night they were cheaper than the day before and definitely cheaper compared to yesterday afternoon. This morning they were slightly up again (I guess people having a quick look before work). So I'll book then tonight when everyone is in the pub
Got the flat to myself tonight so I'll try cooking kale and chorizo stew and crochet for hours. Bliss...DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Blairweech, I shall wend my way accross when DGD is out with myeldest. I used to be around on them a couple of years ago, so it will be good to get back in line.
Just spent £10.84 on the meat from the butcher van.:o I will have to stop doing that. I dont have the money to do it anymore. But oh its such good meat. I got 500g of Diced beef, 500g of mince, and 500g of chicken legs.
He delivered to the door, I am still in my dressinggown.
Its freezing here, but bright.
Hope DD comes soon. Gives me that break from DGD. Although I love her very much, I really need to child proof the place a bit more then it is.!When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -

Morning everyone,
I know just how you feel natalie I had 4 under 5. Constant mess, even now it can be tricky to keep on top of it and they are all in High School bar one!
A quiet day here, just doing some tidying etc. Might do tuna and sweetcorn pasta bake for tea tonight. DD3 is singing in a carol concert and that's 5-7pm so I'll be going off to that. Taking no money and spending no money!
mooloo I have found that good meat often means I need/use less. Perhaps you could justify the purchase along those lines!
Hope you all have a good day.0
