    Morning everyone,

I know just how you feel natalie I had 4 under 5. Constant mess, even now it can be tricky to keep on top of it and they are all in High School bar 1
    .

Wow - i just think it is too much for one person as my H2B does not much else apart from make mess! I work about 6.5 hrs a week (plus a couple hrs cover here and there) and at the moment i just feel like all i do is work, clean up after every1, cook for every1 and run the house without any appreciation whatsoever! (H2B even moaned yesterday about spending £14 in tesco and i f******ng spend every penny of my tiny £300 mth wages on this house arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh MEN!!!!!!!!!

I am so irritable and with these kids off school and all ill so wanting to sit on me and just make more mess i want to scream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DFW since JAN 2009 - 2014 will be the year i finally clear debts :) Just to see which month :))))

Natalie, I know how you are feeling. I have always had kids around my feet, run the house, had to earn extra money becuase DH spent it all!. (Until I said goodbye to him),brought the 4 children up myself. THey do grow up, and mostly they will eventually be off of your hands.
Once they are teenagers you hardly see them!!
Its just rare that my situation happens and they keep coming home in times of troubles.
Twin1 said on the phone yesterday that she wants to come home when this assessment thingy has been done. So I have not to think about how to fit us all into a 2 bedroomed, house. If anyone has to live in the frontroom, its a through fair to the other rooms, i.e. bathroom and kitchen, and so is the back room. I would also have to ask permission for others from the landlord.
I think that in the new year I will have to move home again.!!(move 20?)

    1. It is not rare lol - my mummy and daddy are always rescuing me!!! My dad is constantly doing stuff to my cars and saving me when i break down (better now but i am 28!!!!!!! lol) and my mum is constantly bringing me red cross parcels - my MIL does the same :) i have had a rocky time with OH in past and almost gone home many a time but have fought hard to build some independence!

    2. I cannot wait for them to grow up lol

    3. My H2B is a lot better since his spell away and things are better but he is just so slow and i live at 100mph so it can be seriously frustrating. He does have the kids when i work and he is starting to get some work in but now he has no licence i also have to ferry him around and men are just grrrrrrrrr MEN!

    4. It is worse now they are sick and i am building my own business. I also had a termination 3 wks ago and did the test yesterday to ensure had worked and i was secretly hoping it hadn't but i know i did it for good reason............. anyway all totals me feeling like crap today BUT kitchen is sparkling. Gonna go hug pups to cheer me up and have another coffee with squirty cream (huge tin for 1.65 in makro) - bye bye diet! (that is another depressor - heavier now than when pregnant with 3rd child so over 4 stone heavier than b4 kids)

Good afternoon frustrated frugalers :o I'm sensing some tensions again. Hope everyone concerned copes with whatever frugal life chucks at them.

Bails, you can't upload pics here, you need to host them elsewhere and then link to them.

It's very cold here, the front garden and HS's car hasn't thawed out yet and the feathered friends are all hovering around the back door in the hope of getting more scraps rather than foage in the garden. Despite the cold, I've hung out a washing. The breadmaker is on and I am having cup a soup in the livingroom for lunch. It's too cold in the kitchen but the fire's lit in here, so lovely and warm now I've managed to dig out some dry logs.

Spending has been minimised on all counts but there will be a bit of stockpiling done over the next fortnight. £50 going on electric meter this afternoon then I'll have £60 left in the electricity budget, so it's going to be stretching it if the temperature drops any further. I'll get another bag of coal before the year's out and that should start the new year off with a full coal bunker. I should also top up my mobile by £5 to keep it activated but I forgot to mention that to DS when giving him a list of 'to do' items for his trip to the post office. Thank goodness for O2 free texts online! :rotfl:

Still waiting in for deliveries, still not receiving any deliveries! I think I'll start looking out all the bits and bobs for my Christmas hampers and make sure I have enough to go around. I've decided that each household can have a hamper rather than get individual gift and I'll just need to hope the adults don't eat all the sweets and biscuits. :rotfl: (Guess I'll need to get the vacuuming and dusting done first, though. Boo hoo! )

Edited in - xNatalieX - I only just read your latest post and hadn't realised so much had been going on recently! Hope 2011 proves to be a better year for you.

Edited in a day later - sorry, I lost a year somewhere, that should have read 2010 :o
I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Frugal living challenge - living on little in 2025 while frugalling towards retirement.

natalie big hugs to you. What a tricky time you're having.
  • Natalie - you have had so much going on in the last few weeks, not suprised you feel a little frazzled. Big hugs.

Just had someone smash in to the back of my car while I was stationary at traffic lights. I'm ok (which is ultimately all that matters, they are too)but there is never a convenient time for these things to happen and it is one more thing to sort. I'm bone tired though and I think I will go to bed for a kip.

Away alot of this weekend - big famiyl celebration of youngest nephew's 21st which will be fun.

Reading every day but still very busy so flying visits.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

I echo this. I really do. Times seem to be hard for all. But were all here to give (((hugs))), support, and ideas. Well I get lots from the various threads on here.
Hope the weekend improves and the kids get better soon.
Cant do much about a slow DH2B, but when you can get a rest from playing Taxi, etc try and have a bit of a pamper hour. I just managed that while DGD has gone out with my eldest. Now cooking a soup, out of the chicken carcus from earlier in the week, and with 2 leeks, a hand full of parsley and some very wierd shaped carrots from the garden. So a no cost soup as such!.
Just not ready for my lunch
Going to have a reheated curry from the chicken the other day. As I didnt have my stirfry last night. Just had boiled eggs and toast with DGD as I was too tired!.

  • O guys don't be silly - there are plenty more people out there worse off than us!!! And things have been a heck of a lot worse in the past.

But all hugs gratefully accepted :);)

BB I hope you do get some rest as a crash can make you feel bad long after it happened.
I will be busy soon moving dd3 from a town on one side of us to another town on the other side but a bit closer than before so it will be a little easier to help her if she needs us. She gave up her place on the uni course so I don't know what she will do yet. She can get a job with the qualifications she already has but will not be as much pay.
  • Something to smile about - from Jan 2.5 hrs a week on a Monday teaching swimming (in addition to 6.5hrs already) - less than other jo at £14 hr but still better than being at home ha ha - mum will be sitting so going to give her £10 wk towards petrol as she has them on a Tue too :)Will put the £400 childcare in essentials so that will go up but also income up £2000odd (only work 38 weeks a year)

HAPPY HAPPY - Will post new budget on 2010 board soon :)
