No, not till Monday and he has to go to Peterborough.
He's putting a sign on his car offering a cash reward for the safe return of his stuff...you never know!0 -
yeah mooloo - no way are you being selfish - it is healthy and normal to want to lead a fulfilling life by following your own life style chioces and dreams and most parents get to have that chance when their children grow up if not before.
The thing is, you can't magic money out of thin air, and you have your own health probs. And if you take them in, what happens if you health deteriorate so signifcantly that you cannot cope?
I just find it intolerable that you are left alone to cope with this and it makes me so angry, and yet powerless. Our society shuld be funding support for the vulnerable:mad:.
Welcome Merle to our lovely forum and life enhancing challenge:T
free cheesy bake from OH's mother: not good for waist but filling and tasty.
Some woopsied fruit and stir fry in asda tonightI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Good evening frunchkins:D
Hugs to those in need, lots of rough patches at the moment for people.Just having a while chilling with a cuppa after my hectic day out xmas lunching and shopping with 32 oldies.Lunch was lovely, shopping was busy and my car was stuffed to bursting with oldies' xmas shopping after they had already filled up the stowage in the mini buses:eek:
.Luckily grandma247 remembered to come for the spin dryer pick up or I would never have fitted in the motor scooters on the way home
Lunch and afternoon coffee was free courtesy of oldies social fund, petrol was on expenses, but I did spend £11.99 on a gorgeous wooden duck for my cottage bathroom,£2.50 on another imperfect duck that I felt sorry for:p and £3.99 on a river cottage year book:o, so xmas pressies to myself from remaining budget which is shrinking daily now. After seeing what the olds bought I felt quite restrained.:rotfl:
Renewed my car tax yesterday but opted for 6 months this time even though it is slightly dearer for the reason that I want it to be due in summer next year and not in December when there are lots of other big expenses. I had just got around this when OH wrote my last car off:rolleyes:
After updating my budgets I now have a grand total of £258.48 for the rest of the year but this is only for electric/coal/xmas food/stockpiling and miscellaneous bits (like imperfect ducks:rotfl:) all the DD's are out, meter topped up, coal topped up,and cupboards and freezers are quite full, toiletries stashed (except T rolls) and xmas gifts and birthdays out the way.0 -

Morning everyone,
After a lazy day yesterday, I'm going to get done today what I should have done yesterday as well as todays jobs! So I've got a couple of phone calls to make and a bit of Flylady 'zone' cleaning. No idea what zone this week is, so I'll have to check!
Will also make the fishpie I was supposed to make last night for tea.
I've no idea how I'm going to fit a college course in as well come January. I'm hoping that I will get out of the mindset of wasting time cause I'll have to fit more in.
nataliethat's sweet...but gosh £2, it's gone up since I was paying out for my children...which was a long time ago. The toothfairy didn't last long in our house!0 -
Speaking of £2 coins i counted mine last night £144 since march !! i am saving them for compost and seeds etc for the garden next year
Hasing a cashback payment too TCB owe me 36.50 but have been assured it will be sorted soon need to update my total cashback/free money totals too
Been giving budget some thought and think i may go for £8,000 all in except the mortgage and bank loan payments as this was the value of hubbys pension (2 yrs go ,still waiting for a current forecast) this will give us a chance to see if we can cope with early retirement*****

Mooloo, it is not selfish at all to have dreams of your own. Well done for saying no about the money, not easy in any situation and especially yours, but important too :T

Had the breast of the chicken I roasted the other day, and turned it into a chicken curry last night. DS has taken a leg/quarter to work in his lunch. So I have the 2 wings and one leg/quarter left. The carcus is smmering with the carrot peelings to make some soup. Cant find my bayleaves though!. Cheated and used mr A's sauce mix, as DD doesnt like hot curries, and my powder is a Madras.!
98p for the sauce and 33p worth of the carrots. Served 3 of us last night. ANd enough for at least one more meal.
Have done a rough menu plan for the rest of the month.
I have DD/s Healthy start vouchers which I can buy fruit and veg and milk with, £3.10 each. Have 3 of them. So can top upthe shop with them. Only need fresh stuff, and of course the actaul Christmas dinner stuff.
Its my ESA pay day today, so I have to pay the electric/gas from old house today, and my own electric. So thats £80 leaves me with £99. for everything else for the next two weeks.! (Plus the £20 that I got for Petrol. but that will be gone in 3 trips to Twin1's. ). If I go straight there and striaght back, with no stops etc.). I am pleased with that though, as it means we can see each other every other day this next week. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
£2 for a tooth! DD's 4 and I hope that when her teeth start falling out, she won't have worked out the value of money. At the moment ALL coins are "shiny pennies" and I should be able to get away with far less0
