TBH girls I'm a bit scared about booking it all which is why I didn't drag him to the travel agents! I know that it's going to be loads and I don't want to know how many loads it is!

Once we book it we'll pay the deposit then set up a savings account to stick all our extra money in, I'll have to up the ante with the making extra cash I think! Which reminds me that I need to do my daily scratch card! Fingers crossed!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Can you not book it once you have say 25%? Just with the best will in the world Birdie you don't have much time for extra money making, or energy when you do have the time, and you need to be certain you can do it before committing to something you then can't pay for. Its not like they'll fill up if you wait 2 months to see how you go financially.

Starting to write a list! Decided to stock up again on cosmetics ect. Going shopping with my Mum on Friday now, going to get those clothes I wanted for the holiday so thought I mareswell nip to Poundland (they closed ours down! :( ) while I'm there as I need conditioner, cotton pads ect. Thought I mareswell get the stuff now while I have the money spare incase I'm on a really tight budget when I come to need them!

I love the pound shop!! When we went into Birmingham last weekend we went into the 99p store there, its huge! And i got so many bargains that i have seen priced upto 4 times more elsewhere!

ETA: Just had last weeks STP drop into my PayPal account actually! :D So when tonights money comes in I'll have £10.40 - Very nice!!

Your doing very well with the STP. What are you going to do with the extra money? Will it go into your savings or to treat yourself?

Must be quite scary all that money, but as long as you stick to making sure you do save for it rather than putting it on a credit card then im sure you will be fine!

    Morning!

My DooYoo is looking pretty happy this morning. Up to 19,055 so edging towards payout! Bought 2 things to work to review at some point today - thinking I might actually make it too 25,000!

Checked my online banking and the £30.03 from Paypal has been paid, so moved that into savings. Will update my sig in a sec! :D

Flower - I'd love to go to a 99p shop! But I'd overspend on tat so I'm pretty glad there isn't one nearby :o The Poundland I go to is pretty good with branded essentials though - and always seems to have jumbo bags of cotton pads - but the rest of the shop is plain tat.

Birdie - I hope it doesn't cost too much! Haven't you got some kind of discount for a holiday company? (Think I remember you mentioning it to Dinah on her thread ages ago!) I'm sure you'll be able to save for it though. Any chance you could do a couple boot sales before the season is over? Or ebay some bits?

I agree with the tat bit! I find shops like that a bit like a jumble sale, you have to have a proper rummage to find anything worth buying!

Sounds like your doing well with dooyoo - i need to find two things to review today - hoping to get up to 25,000 soon aswell!

  • I think the pound shop can be overpriced, you have to be careful about what you buy - you might be able to get that shower gel or whatever for 89p in Savers...

Going to try and do a Dooyoo or two today, work seems pretty quiet (touch wood!!)

I know what you mean Tete, but when I'm looking at £1 bottles of High Street brands I get a bit excited! :D

Just been looking at stuff to do while me and OH are away and.. We're going to Blackpool. Woo! And they do Ghost walks near where we're staying so I've put that on the list. Getting all excited now!!

There is a big Paperchase by my work on Tottenham Court Road, is it that one Poddle? I always buy birthday cards from there. Oh and Happy Birthday for Friday!

My Mums cats have taken to standing in the kitchen all day waiting for their next meal. One of them has taken a sudden liking to human food which it never had before, so we reckon it must have eaten at someone elses house. It now climbs on the table and worktop, which is driving my Mum mad!

:rotfl:It drives me crazy when our cat hovers round my legs. Our little monster has decided to start trying her luck with getting food out of OHs mum. She keeps coming up asking if i have fed her because she looks hungry. Shes such a greedy pig!

Bless your Mums cat Wendzs!! The only human food Pip likes is Pringles so if I'm having any I normally give him one to lick to death.

Right, I've been set the task of picking presents for everyone at work from this rewards thing we're with. The idea is I split the point equally between everyone. But how about I get myself a Mulberry Ledbury bag - and just pretend we didn't have any rewards points for this year?
