Pippa - I've pm'd you with Mrs Twins' address.

I've loved reading all the kind words on here - it just goes to show that this truly is a lovely place to be, and I enjoy and appreciate the luxury of being able to come on here and read all the lovely posts. They all make such a difference to me, especially when I am missing the family back in the UK, so thanks to all of you for being who you are!

Luvverly Jubbely -- "Hear Hear "to all the posts prior to this one. We are bound to get a bit worried sometimes when in a friendship group but I so love it here.

So no more needs to be said.

Of Course its all about knitting etc-- Or is it ,Or does it matter. Stay with it dear friends one and all ,and if you have been feeling you would like to join in either as a newbie or as a dear "old" friend as long as you are either beautifully bonkers or daft you will fit in beautifully ---- With me that is !! Oh and Roamin-- and oh, you know just everybody !!

Gardening done delicious lunch eaten and now I am off Hooking!!

Right now its my turn for a bit of a worry.

Just started hooking and thinking about the last few posts and wondered if by me posting pictures as bonkers as they are is making people feel that they are not doing as much as they would like!

To be honest everyone has their own reasons for crafting and mine are very mixed but

    1. Doh and I retired relatively early so I have perhaps got more time on my hands than some

    2. We have no Grandchildren so no diversions

    3. By spending a lot of time in Spain we do have a lot of leisure time and I find crafting so relaxing

    4. My crafting is very mixed, with Charity and personal projects but I tend to share projects like the puppies cos I think people will enjoy them for a bit of fun on dark days.

    5. I do have an obsessive disorder -- hence the proliferation of hats and hedgies

    6. I just cant sit and do nothing so always have the hook or needles with me even on the trip to Yoga which is about 1 mile!!!

However this is me! I would hate to make anyone feel that by posting pictures I am in anyway "showing off" as to how much I do.

Oh Chalky chalky chalky - big bottom smack for you and dont you dare not share the photos - maybe its me - maybe others feel like it but I LOVE SEEING other peoples work - I love hearing what others are doing - it actually cheers me up - (no its nothing else but pure noseyness!!!!!:rotfl:)

In another lifetime I would like to be a professional house viewer (dont worry I dont nose in peoples cupboards) I like to see peoples houses and stuff and how gardens look - is there such a job - maybe being out and about in houses is not a good job for an agoraphobic

I watch tons of documentaries - real life - I am documentary queen - there was a programme a couple of years ago about decluttering - recycle, sell and get one room done in the house ????? anybody remember it was normally a family who had seen a tragedy etc oh Im dribbling at the thought of decluttering someone elses stuff ...... and the saddest programme I ever watched (according to DH) was Anthea Turner's Domestic Goddess (or whatever) programme - oh I fully embraced folding towels and cupboards that were neat and a box for this and a basket for that .... didnt last long though :rotfl:

So I want to see lots of pictures - hear lots of stories cos I like to know what we are all doing .......

We don't think you're showing off, Chalky! It's great to see all the characters that you make.

We all have different lives and lifestyles - I would have considered myself retired, or at least semi-retired, if we hadn't bought a big rambling run-down French farmhouse! It takes up a lot of time, but of course that will ease as time goes by - at least, I hope it does! I also write freelance and, as I love words, I want to carry on with that for as long as I can. I look forward to the time when DH and I can both take life a little slower but, as it is, he loves what he does and really enjoys the challenges that this house throws up, which is just as well because we can't give up on it now! Once this current batch of work has been done, we will take a break from it before the next lot - at least, that's what I've been told! I content myself with hooking mainly in the evenings and some afternoons when I'm not doing my own work, helping DH or that boring old household stuff, but the thought of being able to spend longer on knitting or crochet is what keeps me going and it's something to aim for.

We've had the most wonderful weather here today; at least 20 degrees and really sunny. The downside is that the lawn is now looking at us crying out for a mowing, so that will be a job for tomorrow.

Well, time to stir the chilli.

Hope you all have a great evening.

:eek::eek: wot no mad chalky piccies...never! As others have said they make me smile and like F1 am a nosy b**** plus lets face it me lovely they are slightly bonkers and make us chuccle!! :D I wasnt saying in any way that I feel pressre from you lot - its more me feeling battered and bruised at the moment so not doing as much as I would like. Would be really upset if people didnt say what theyd done cos it makes me feel that we collectively achieve somma - even if its just cheering from the sidelines and ooing and ahhing at things! So having herby started this here wobble can I end it by saying we'll do what we can when we can, will chat in between with no guilt at things not done and lovely oos and ahhs at the appropriate junctures? :D Off to watch masterchef!

Grow Your Ow Drugs .........AND hookers hmmmmmm need I say more ........:rotfl::p:rotfl:- I think we can rest our case that our chalky is beautifully bonkers....

Well the quietness of PSSO makes me wonder - is she in Asda buying weird munchies - is she driving around on humps and bumps trying to get things moving or is she ............ doing her breathing in a labour ward somewhere "up North" - is this the night that we collectively become "Virtual Aunties" - heres wondering

Where has tonight gone - one minute it was 6.00 and I was dishing up tea now its 10.20 so I bid you all a very good night - sleep tight all - hugs Jaqui xxx

Apparently if you go into labor in asda they give you contents of your trolley for free! Maybe psso has heard this and is hiding in a clothes isle with a full trolly telling dd to hang on a mo cos she wants to make a mad dash for the new tv?!!!
I think many on here are inspirations for various and individual reasons..collectively we bring much experience, expertise and skill to the fore...along with generally being "beautifully bonkers!"...Sleep tight all...notice that a few are mia so if youre lurking please come and just say hi!
