    Hi all, NO baby yet.

S/he can come any time now though, we`ve been and bought the buggy/car seat ourselves. Got fed up waiting for the `daddy` to provide it and DD was getting stressed as we`d have nowhere to put the wee mite when it comes home. Been `showing` ;) signs of imminent birth but no major contractions as yet. Midwife tomorrow if not in hospital beforehand.

Shaz, it was a GP who advised the crisps for sore throat, I thought it was a bit strange at the time but it works for me. Also told me when my twins were little to give them plain crisps and flat 7 up or Sprite when they had sickness and diarrhoea (sorry for tmi ) as the salt and whatever in the pop would rehydrate them just as well as those rehydrating crystals you get from the chemist and the kids would probably enjoy them better :p - has always worked for my lot and DD1 tried it with DGS the other week - he thought it was a great idea, but they did stay down.

Oh, request to go to ASDA for munchies so better get the taxi started.
Will have a quiet evening doing some hats maybe.

Enjoy what`s left of today whatever you`re up to.

Hi ladies - oh I logged on and with reading each post I was holding my breath wondering whether I would get to the last post and there would be a baby - but NO .... but I did find a lovely message from Chalky - thank you xxxx as for the hats - well I can keep a couple of balls and patterns unpacked so thats ideal the hats and squares xx

shaz - ive missed you but hope you have a great holiday xx

kathy - am sorry to hear the news of your friends dog xxxx - hope the construction work went ok to (with not too much toing and froing from the kitchen xxx its sounds like its really coming on leaps and bounds now xx

psso - my DS decided to come then stopped then started then stopped (over the course of a week)- the midwife sent me to be checked as she was not happy (I was going a funny yellow colour and had a bad rash) and the labour ward wrote in HUGE capital letters "NOT TO ATTEND HOSPITAL UNTIL WATERS BREAK" my midwife was going spare - he was late - 11 days and I was then induced - I can remember the first time it started up - DH just calmy went off to sleep and said wake me if you need me .... oooo soooo exciting - will we awake tommorow to find a "mini" knitter ...... - take care of yourselves xxxx

Off now to find some baby hat patterns only really have preemie ones - thinking of you all especially those mia or poorly or low - take care Jaqui xxx

    Hello everyone:wave:

I'm sorry I haven't been around for ages, I was lurking for a while but even that got too much. Life has been really busy here not for any particular reason though. I went through quite a dark patch and seemed to be crying all the time which didn't help. Have had a few ups and downs with my children too.:(

Feel like I've been doing a lot of this :wall:lately.

Anyway spring is finally here and I'm feeling better now so I'm hoping to get back knitting again.:)

I've missed so much so I'm sorry for not knowing any of your news, what is everyone making at the moment?

Hope everyone is well and that you don't mind me coming back after being away for so long.

    Love to all.x

Oh how lovely to see Only Girl back -- We have missed the MIA'S.
I hope some lovely people don't feel overwhelmed by what us retirees ( You know what I mean retired folk) can knock out --- I remember trying to start my car with a banana when I was working full time with 3 littlies so please don't feel it matters about totals

quick question...I was wondering whether people havent posted when low because they haent done any charity stuff so dont feel then can because of that? This is something I have felt of late as just cant seem to get the energy to do my list of to do's and other stuff in amongst the stress/depression of trying to sort my life out/money worries etc. I posted the other day that I hoped people didnt mind me posting anyway and didnt get a response so this left me wondering if I should leave you and come back when things were "better" but that also made me feel very sad cos youre my internet friends and I love chatting with you/sharng the minutiae of life and hearing yours.
Ive had a think about it over the last few weeks and wonder if others have felt the same and this is why they havent posted when low. In which case think that this needs to be properly addressed as thats surely when we need each other most and when charity stuff has to go on the back burner because coping has to be the priority?
Would welcome others thoughts on this. I dont want to leave you all but at the moment also feel I need to go with being gentle on myself and removing things that feel a pressure (which if I'm honest the charity stuff does at the moment in amongst trying to be fair to Ferg so he has his own banket and doesent feel left out with his brother having the babette)...
crossed posts chalky! I didnt feel pressure cos others were doing loads - Im new to this so slow anyway lol!!
