Hi there, just a quick call to wish you all Happy Easter and apologise to Shaz. Tried whispering to Bump last night and actually thought things were going to happen, but it was a false alarm !!
Enjoy your holiday - bump will probably still be here when you get back, which means I`ll have lost a few more nights sleep and be running on automatic pilot.
Off to have a soak in the bath then an early night - hopefully anyway.

Hi everyone.
Shaz - have a great holiday! Glad Daniel is starting to feel better.
Well, we finally finished emptying the room in which the beam is being replaced, and the roof is coming off. It ws a horrid job so I'm really glad it's done! The work starts today - DH has professional help so I should be left to my own devices for a change. I hope to get some of my squares ready for packing up. I need to finish one off, and sew in the ends of a few more. I just hope they're not too noisy but I suppose that's too much to ask!
Tomorrow, I am off to the hairdressers in the morning, and the dentist - to have my new €880 (!!) crown fitted in the afternoon, so a day of renovating myself, I think! I might even do a bit of shopping to finish off my 'new' look!
I started another square last night, for Mrs Twins, who kindly sent me a lovely knitting pattern AND two balls of beautiful wool (Cygnet Silcaress) in white and a leafy green. It's lovely to crochet with and I've teamed it with a bright pink for a square. Mrs Twins - thank you so much.
Well, it's bank holiday here, too, today, but France doesn't have Good Friday so Easter itself is shorter here.
Anyway, the kettle's on so I will cal back later.

Morning all...well a dreary day in Cardiff so after the excitement of yesterday going to have a quiet day. Mum and I both unsued to creamy food so both felt quite dodgy tummies! We had a lovely day though - a joyful service with my church family and then lunch with my friends W & T which was lovely but fit to pop! Thank you those who posted on bog - chalky tied to post on yours but it wouldnt let me
Thank you for the card too May!

Good Morning one and all
Hope everyone has enjoyed chocolate and celebrations!
Our visitors have lsft and it was lovely to have them but the peace that descends when there is a little space just for yourselves after entertaining is sheer bliss!!
Yoga this morning which I also find so relaxing yet uplifting. I am as supple as a brick but I don't look at myself or worry about it so it is no problem!!!
Well doh is ironing -- isn't that truly wonderful cos I ddn't ask and I am on here with my knitting beside me-- Oh may this be the worst of my days!!!
Well because we leave in just over 2 weeks I am concentrating on the baby hats for the hospital here. I had forgotten how relaxing they were. They were my obsession before last years hedgies!!!
I think we are all waiting for news of PSSO and DDS BUMP. What a happy lot of knitty nutty "aunties"we shall be.
Lots of love to you all and hope all MIA and busy with holiday bits and pieces are well and happy. Gentle thoughts to anyone feeling sad or lonely. xTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Oh, Chalky - I envy you your bliss! What perfection - husband ironing while wife knits! How on earth did you manage that? My dearest is upstairs as I type preparing the beam in the attic for its final journey (photos on my blog - I've posted twice on there today!). I shall be SO glad when it's done but what a job it is.
I can't do much here at the moment because I'm tea lady and, as it's thirsty work up there, I have to keep them watered, so I've just done a bit of paperwork and even some crochet. It's unheard of for me to get my wool out even before lunch! I hope this is how the rest of the week pans out - I could get used to it.
On the upside, the sun has really come out to play today.
