Chalky - your tutorial is brilliant! I will have to have a go at one of those lovely flowers! I'm glad you've not been drafted in to the golfing brigade; as you say, why spoil a good walk?!

ISOM - I almost can't put into words how beautiful your Babette is; it's wonderful and all the colours work so well together. What lovely markings Isoke has with all those wide stripes. Louis' stripes are narrower and closer together. Does she sleep all day, because Louis can barely keep his eyes open! We think it's because he's French and life is one long siesta! Mind you, he's very active at night.

Mrs Moneypenny - Mrs Twins has tried to pm you but your box is full! I'm just about to look on her blog for your squares.

Well, I've been working on a sun motif for a Mrs Twins square, so will get on with that later.

    thanks for the welcome girls!

i'd love to join in, i have a massive stash to get through so it would make sense, however i do need to finish my current projects first. i'm knitting a summer top and also trying to master socks on 4 needles. i haven't had much patience with them yet and resorted to a 2 needle pattern instead but i WILL do them one day. i have done the little hats for prem babies before so i'd love to do more of them...in fact i may have sent them to someone on here a year or two ago? i've just remembered that, my memory isn't what it should be!

i tend to get my wool from Kemps on-line, they have some great bargains on the clearance side. also from Abakhan in hanley, it's like an Aladdin's cave in there. i'm sure you will all have used them both.

well, i'm actually at work at the moment and on my break so i will leave you now to get in a few rows on my second sock. i'm glad we don't have to knit socks for any great wars, they'd have such cold feet if it was left to me!
you can't take it with you...

aww thanks for ovely comments...if anyones interested my blog now has a flickr link with more babette, quilt and isoke bits on! Chalky...I will do one for me at some point but in different cols. Am now learning (or trying) how to do a hexagon blanket for Ferg and maybe then...I also want to do mine in cotton and theyre getting new stuff in so trying to be patient. Am also not v good at doing things for me!
Re Isoke she is asleep most of day Miol and in ad out at night - I used to keep her in but she miowed so much I relented! She has a new way of waking me up...climb onto bed and leap onto middle of chest...her markings are gorgeous and I especially love the two black blobs above her eyes! Like Louis she is much bigger now and hard to believe she was an iddy biddy kitten! Hello seakay...when you back with us?
No crochet this afternoon...have been sticking cannons on to my hms victory model!

Sal - I'm so pleased you've decided to join us. Good luck with your current projects, and hope you master the socks on four needles!

ISOM - Louis has been asleep non-stop for ten hours now but has woken up since I started cooking the dinner! He'll eat, pop out for half an hour, come back in and sleep for another few hours, then go out for the night! I think I'm coming back as a cat in my next life!

ISOM, your Babette is lovely - I am so impressed/jealous, as I downloaded the pattern ages ago and it's one more thing I haven't got round to.

Have you looked on attic24 for hexagons (forgive me if I've missed a posting showing you have)? She's just posted a copy of a pattern from a Japanese book here. As long as you can follow universal diagrams!

Oooh Chalky, evening sunshine lucky you. We`ve got sleety / snowy showers here. Brrrr. Like the flowers too, might have a go at that as well.

Isom - Lucy has an easy to follow tutorial on Attic 24 for hexys -even shows you how to join them together so no sewing.

Lovely babette, and kittykat obviously has given it her purrrrr of approval too.

Been sitting in front of the fire sewing up 2 little blue cardies - just in case -pink ones done already.

Having an early night as DS isn`t working tonight so no late taxi service required. Off to put hottie in to cosy up the bed while I have my Horlicks.
Night night sleep tight everyone, and I`ll see you tomorrow.
