Mrs Moneypenny - that was a fascinating post. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us! My first was a week late; I started with a show and tried to deny that I was in labour for 24 hours, then I went into the maternity hospital. After another twelve hours of labour, the doctors decided I needed a C-section, so they transferred me to the general hospital, but, by the time I got there, there was no time for a C-section, and DS1 was delivered within minutes. I had lost all track of what day it was, and it was only when I was wheeled into the ward, and everyone sang Happy Birthday, that I realised I had just had the best birthday present ever!
DS2 was born after a short seven-hour labour but, unlike the lady in the next bed on my ward who had given birth at exactly the same time as me, they kept the baby away from me without telling me why. It was only when I made a real fuss and said I was calling the Police because they had no right to keep him from me, that they admitted they had let him get too cold, and they had been warming him up. I was furious but too emotional to complain, and was just so relieved to have my baby back with me. To be honest, I had convinced myself that the worst had happened, and that they were too scared to tell me.
Have you been watching that One Born Every Minute? It's on Tuesday evenings at 9pm your time and is really fascinating. Things have changed such a lot since my last was born 28 years ago!
Well, time for lunch.

Good Morning to one and all -- Just had a quick skim through posts and love to everybody.
Well our visitors who are being delightful have gone off to spoil a good walk by taking the golf clubs and a ball. They were kind enough to ask me if I wanted to go and hold the flag but I had better ideas!!
Well I must not stay on here too long as I have loads to do but thoughts you might like to see these as they are ideal for decoration. I am doing a lot firstly for the GAPA stall but also to decorate the Lapacuddlies.
My first ever tutorial is on my blog so if you want the instructions have a peep.

There ya go me lovelies...one babette with one cat who thought it hers! Perhaps should make her a wee cushion! Delivered it yesterday and it was well received! Trying to do hexagons but struggling to find a pattern I like and can do! Necks killing me again so will stop a bit...
Love the labor stories! I have a perfectly good pair of ovaries going to waste...seems a shame but with no suitable "donor" thats the way it is!! Keep us posted re "further developments" of the "bump". My bump is fine - alas its a fat bump, not a baby bump! Mrs M your children sound lovely and thoughtful! Fancy worrying that santa would miss the new arrival!
Love the flowers chalky!
Hope all well with our "foreigners!" my bro is selling a gorgeous house in France if anyone wants to buy it. Its huge and gorgeous but too much space for two of them!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
