Hi everyone. It's freezing cold here, too, but bright and sunny. BIL who lives in the south of France has had three inches of snow this morning - highly unusual, apparently.
Shaz - hope things go well at the doctor's.
I started a pink Easter bunny for DGD1 last night, once I had finished off a square. I've done 23 Chalky squares so far, and will do some more once I've finished on some Easter projects. I can't buy the grandchildren eggs from here, but I can send them some money and make something for them each to open on the day.
Chalky - have a great time on the piste!
Well, I have the dentist this afternoon so that will be a treat! Hopefully, it will be a painless visit.
DH is still plastering the front hall. It's a huge room and he's bought plaster that goes off in one hour, so he has to work pretty fast! Still, it's going to look great when it's finished. The next job in there will be applying chaux to the stone walls we are leaving exposed. The chaux will pick out the best stones and make a real feature - we hope! I think he's longing to do that bit but he's very patiently doing the really boring stuff first. Our tiles are ready for collection but they will be left until the end.
Anyway, I hope to do the update this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Thanks for all your totals so far.
Jean - I bet you haven't left your new workroom yet, have you?!
UPDATE: 6 Chalky squares
Have a great day, everyone.

visit to gp went ok, the lump is an infected gland apparently, anyways they gave me too choices, 1, cut it off and drain the infection, which would be painful, and would need dressing for several weeks til it heals, or 2 another course of stronger anti biotics, guess which i went for?
yep i was scared at teh thought of cutting, so trying more anti biotics first.
kathy, hope the trip to the dentist is pain free for you

Shaz - I definitely would have gone for the antibiotics first! It makes sense to go for the least invasive option, I think. Good luck and I hope they do the trick. At least you know what it is now.
Dentist went very well, although I need a crown which will be quite expensive, but I will get some of it back through the French health system. I have a couple of appointments over the next few weeks, and should be done by the beginning of April. I've never had a crown but, in my past life as a dental nurse, I've assisted with some; I should imagine the procedure is the same as in the UK but will be very interested in what is going on! I don't need any other treatment which is a relief. The dentist is actually very nice but he was wearing his mask when he called me into the surgery, and I had a fleeting glimpse of the Marathon Man but, with his mask off, he was much kinder. He didn't speak any English so I hope I understood him and haven't agreed to having all of my teeth removed with no anaesthetic, or something like that!
Anyway, dinner is on early in an attempt to get DH to stop working on the house a little earlier than usual. He can't seem to stop plastering and needs a break!
I hope to settle down early and crack on with my Easter bunny!

Hi
Beautiful sunny morning :-) Thoughts to those who have hurts of whatevers, hope those of you with them are feeling better :-)
Started another little baby cardi, and have done some more crochet squares for the blanket. Going to try and sit down and get a lot of it done if possible later. Not going to the shops, I spend money I don't need to lol.
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all who need them ((((hugs)))) Love you all.
