Thanks, Jean. I've just checked and my email account is back now. I can't blame the French this time; AOL have lost it before so I think it was their fault! My internet has been perfect since I installed and rebooted the Livebox, thankfully. I'll go and add your chooks now, then post the update.

I CAN, though, quite honestly blame the French for all the near misses I seem to have when driving. Why don't they indicate? Why don't they stay on their side of the white line in the middle of the road? Why do they not know what roundabouts are for? Why do they want to drive within inches of your back bumper? Why don't they look behind them before they swing open their car doors? That happened when we were out yesterday - how DH managed to move the car away from the opening door at the same time as avoiding the traffic coming the other way, I'll never know! And the driver didn't even care.
Anway, rant over - but, honestly, something happens every time I go out, even if I just have to drive a couple of miles! It's just as well the roads are quieter here, but I feel safer in the UK!

Afternoon all...did about squares for babetts last night and will do more today...just back from allotment and had help which was great! Between us managed to put the pond in and make two paths...much needed now due to fact that we have to use the back entrance!!
Hugs for you psso...those firsts are always hard and its the little things that ring the absences more I think...Am very jealous of you seeing a baby born as think it would be incredible, if traumatic!
Do show us a piccy of the bag mrs m!! Hard to visualise but those 80's cols are very much in at the moment! Makes me feel old as I was there first time round. Off for a snooze...hugs those that need them.

I've just found these lovely little toys on Knitting Pattern Central - ideal for fundraising and for using up scraps of wool. I shall make some once I've finished my three Easter bunnies. http://petitepurls.com/Fall09/fall2009_anything.html

You wouldn`t if you had been in my car this morning !!!!!! DD & I went to pick up the little lad from nursery and our lives flashed in front of our eyes at the end of our street. Was just nosing out when a posties van came up the road with a blue car racing up overtaking him and missed us by a couple of inches . Our street joins an unclassified road but there is a dual carriageway at the bottom and obviously the postie wasn`t going quick enough for speedy gonzalez - won`t tell you what DD said but think you can guess. Then on the way back we came along a narrow road known locally as `the hedges` (they were hedges many moons ago but are fully grown trees now :)) which is only just wide enough for two cars to pass each other carefully and a Man in a White Van decided he needed three quarters of the road. DD thought it might be an idea to skip the antenatal class, just in case we were rammed by a bus or something on the way in, since everything comes in threes. Got there and back safely though. Not any safer here that`s for sure.

Time is certainly marching on at a rate of knots Pippa. It`s 8 months since Jim died and then shortly after we discovered that DD was pregnant. Now it`s only just over 3 weeks till her due date. I suppose we`ll just blink and he/she will be starting school - seems like that anyway.

Well carpet went down today and DD`s bed has been assembled, just have to transfer all the junk to make room for the next paint job but that can wait till tomorrow when DS is at home. Might manage to get some knitting done tonight if I can stay awake long enough.;)

    Have a good evening everyone.

Mrs Moneypenny - once I've finished my Easter bunnies for the grandchildren, I'll make some of those little toys for you.

Elaine - hope you have a peaceful evening. Glad you survived that scary incident while you were driving. As my DS2 was three weeks early, I think I'll start wishing your DD good luck now! I can't believe that eight months have passed since you lost your dear Jim, though. Lots of (((hugs))) to you and your family.
