I spent this morning trying to sort through material, as I have an enormous stash. As well as organise where I want everything to go in the sweat shop, I have to say tho' that this afternoon has been pure joy, sewing, singing and generally happy with the world.
I have to stop now and go and do a pattern for the sewing class tomorrow - little swirly skirt and some sort of top - with buttons.
Hope you all have a great evening.

 Hi everyone, I`m still here, trying to fight my way through the piles of `stuff` which has had to be moved around during the decorating. Whose bloomin` bright idea was it to swap bedrooms to make room for the arrival of Bump?? Wish we`d never started, and we`re still not finished................
DD asked if the old fireplace could be removed so the young `man of the house` duly obliged while I closed my eyes and crossed my fingers that he didn`t crash down through the ceiling into the living room  Of course this meant that we had the palaver of blocking up the hole etc. If said young man had done it the way he was told to, it would have been done much more quickly but oh no.... he had to take the long way round about which meant I couldn`t do the painting and papering till he was finished faffing. Almost there now though, just waiting for her carpet to go down next week and get the furniture swapped round. He can take his time painting his new room - he doesn`t have an imminent `delivery`. How I wish we had a spare room to put all the stuff into so that it was out of the way and we could get both carpets done at the same time, would be so much easier.
Been a difficult couple of weeks emotionally as well. DD had her 18th birthday 2 weeks ago today so lots of memories of the birth and proud Dad, and sadness that he wasn`t there for her special day. Managed to keep the tears at bay until bedtime though as we were all out for a special family meal - all 13 of us- her brothers and sisters, their partners and children .
She`s on maternity leave now so also been at the antenatal classes with her - not really looking forward to being the birthing partner - don`t know how I`m going to feel not being able to `make things better for her` as Mum`s usually do.:(
Well, I`m having a night `off` tonight and going to sit down in front of the telly with one of the blankets I`m doing, one pink and white the other blue and white. One of them will be required soon so I`d better get cracking. Blue tonight I think as it`s a bit smaller and needs more doing to it.
(Smacked wrists for me as no charity stuff been done here lately - no time, energy, inclination...............as DD would say C.B.A. can`t be a***d :o) Hope I get the mojo back soon, might find it when we`re clearing up, fingers crossed.

Chalky, I see that you`ve been busy with your puppy project and finished in plenty of time :T. Had a look at your blog and saw the problem with your taggy blankie - ooops !! Slight lack of concentration there chum.

Roamin - glad to see your workman is more efficient than mine. Does this mean we are a step nearer to the `Wooly Retreat Holiday Home` now that the workroom is nearing completion, should I book my flight yet ?? I`m a dab hand with a paintbrush so I could come and help you decorate in return for bed and board.:D

OK, off to veg out and probably fall asleep. Hugs to those of you who need them, and those poorly pets can have one as well.

    See you soon.

morning all, no chance of a lie in here, the children woke me at around 7.30, its always the same when its light mornings, during winter when its dark they sleep til as late as 9.30.
still i dont mind being up early today, i am going to see a friend this morning, she is dying my hair for me, to cheer me up, as the last week has been so hard for me emotionally, especially yesterday. have had to threaten ian with the police if he continues to text me as i couldnt take any more.
this afternoon i'll probably go and see my mum, and take some knitting with me, ds1 picked some sock wool on friday, so i better start his new socks, they take so long as he has huge size 15 feet
    hugs all

Great to hear from you, Elaine. Sounds as if you have been really busy - not long now until the baby arrives, is it? It must have been a big hurdle for you all to face on your DD's 18th, with lots of memories of happy times. I think you're doing really well.

Shaz - could you try darker curtains in the boys' rooms? Might make them stay in bed a bit longer in the mornings. I had to do that with DS2 because he would wake at the crack of dawn. I found some thermal-lined curtains that really stopped the light coming through. I hope you can finally put an end to worry about Ian - it's not fair for him to keep trying to contact you, so I think threatening him with the police will show him you mean business.

Well, we woke up a bit late this morning so I've been catching up with the chores. DH is plastering - again - and I have some letters to write so will get on with that this morning.

I have my first visit to our new dentist tomorrow - Monsieur Lacoste (don't think he's related to the designer!) We haven't even had a check-up since we moved here a year ago and we usually go every six months; we could have gone back to our own dentist in the UK when we came back last month (he said he'll keep us on his books) but I knew there wouldn't be enough time. Hope he doesn't find too many things to do!

Well, I'm still working on squares but I want to make something for the grandchildren for Easter - I can send them some money for eggs (although DGD1 can't stand chocolate - strange girl!) but I thought I'd make them chicks or bunnies or something to post to them. The only yellow wool I have is four ply, so I'll have to use that double for chicks. For some reason, I forgot to buy yellow DK when I went shopping in the UK.

Anyway, I've waffled. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning one and all -- Lots of love and gentle thoughts coming your way.

Lovely meal last night and chance to chat the evening away by a log fire!!

Well after sitting on the finishing everything seat I most of the day yesterday I am nearly there with the clown puppets. Quite like them and am aiming for 15.One for each bag of love that I have made. Will put them in my update next week when I have finished them.

Today we have got to do our exercises-- Then DOH will be involved in the football weekend but he is cutting the backing squares for the cards I am making for the Grandmas in South Africa Charity being supported by my yoga teacher.

In case you want a little look at the area where we spend our winters I found this site

We don't go to the Bull Fighting I have to add!

Have lovely days one and all -- I will pop back later
