chalky - I know what you mean about the warm feeling with the squares and I know Jo does, she feels she is helping someone out there, her OH died in 2008 and she's been drifting a bit since then, and can't seem to settle she will I know but it takes time.
OS :wave:hope all is well with you.
Shaz - my neice loves her's and keeps trying to get me to buy a pair, the way the weather is going I might just try some.:)

just popped in to say hello ,shall update next week, haven`t been lazy but everything seems half finished apart from granny squares which i`ve become addicted to:p.
i have a couple of questions which i just know one of you ladies will be able to answer:D
my church is having a childrens activity day soon and the theme is `all we,like sheep` we have been asked to knit some sheep which the children will sew up and stuff:think:
well i got the pattern today and it says rss 12 rows,
rss = reverse stocking stitch,
i asked all the knitters at church and nobody knew what this meant, so i thought i`d ask you lot:)
the other question is , there is a pattern for an easy baby cardi on LH, well , the pattern says cast off 3 sts then knit to end casting of 3 sts at end,
i don`t know how to cast off at end of row,so i did extra row casting off at beginning of it.:o
is it possible to cast of sts at end of row?
sorry , bit of a long post:(

ISOM - that's how I do patchwork quilts in sewing, but it looks fantastic! I had better hurry up and practice the crochet!!!
SHAZROBO - my sister sent me some ugg boots and I live in them, don't think they will go with the shorts in the summer tho', perhaps I should look for strappy sandals before the sun comes out again - if it ever does.
MAYTAURUS - were you out on the tiles again....to end up with no bp!! Love your posts - they are so full of fun and sunshine.
CHALKY - I was half way to yours for that coffee, when I realised I needed to be home cooking the lunch!
PIPPAS - will put your friend Jo right alongside you,PippasPalJO- then if Kathy wants it moved I will move it.
Spent this morning teaching a 16 year old girl to sew on her second hand sewing machine looks like it came out of the ark...circa 1950's, but she was so keen I just wouldn't give up. Managed to make a pinny with a lovely running chicken as a pocket, if I remember when I go again next week I will get a photo' - you can all have a laugh.
Off to search for something a bit more difficult for next Sunday morning, now she can do straight lines.
you all have a cool day (that's not COLD) back soon I hope, knitting machine lady wants to know if I have done my homework and the answer A RESOUNDING NOPE!
xx
