kathy, have a safe journey, not long now
f1, what a good doctor listening to your ds, glad things are settling down for him at the mo.
still feeling bit pants here, still hurting over ian, never loved any man as much as i loved him, and i really thought we would have been together forever. on a positive, had a meeting at daniel's school yesterday, for his annual review, and his report from every subject teacher was excellant, they all commented how polite and helpful he is. feel really proud of him, as he has had a lot of difficulties , and has overcome them, and is catching up well, to a level he shoul be at for his age. a couple of years ago i never thought he would taking any exams, as his learning was so far behind, now he is studying hard for his gcse's, and is hoping to get a place in college in september 2011.
shaz xxxenjoy life, we only get one chance at it:)0 -
f1 widow - I`m afraid I don`t know about the hats but as Seakay said 20.5 cm is far too big for an egg - unless it`s a very big egg.
The only other thing the nurses mentioned to me was that they don`t need 10" size cardies in that particular hospital very often, 12" upwards is more useful there, but obviously some other prem units may need them. The fabric buntings are just like the knitted angel pockets on preemiesuk, only done in satin/cotton material. They were beautifully made and decorated with lace and tiny pearls.
Shezmit - thanks for the info you gave.As I said, each hospital will have their own preferences.
Kathy - hope you have managed to get everything packed away in the car, does it have elastic sides ?? Have a safe journey and enjoy your time with the family.
Chalky - you do need to have a wee rest from puppy project now and again or you`ll get repetitive strain injury.Have a day or two with the hook and come back refreshed and rarin` to go again.
Had DD for her antenatal check up yesterday a.m. and everything seems to be going well. She also had to see the orthopedic surgeon about the wrist she had an operation done on in December 2008............but that wasn`t so straightforward unfortunately. But I`ll leave that for another day.
Hugs to all in need whether poorly or down in the dumps and I`ll be back tomorrow. Night night.

Hi everyone. Well, NO MORE SLEEPS now!
Jean - that trip of yours sounds horrendous! I hope you're over it now and that you slow down just a bit!
Thank you all so much for your good wishes for my trip and the lovely comments about my squares.
Haven't started loading the car up yet but the cases and boxes of pressies are all ready waiting in the hall and I can't make them look any smaller - they will have to go in 'cos I'm not leaving anything behind.
UPDATE: Our wonderful Jean will be doing the update while I'm away but you will need to look on my blog because the last one I did will automatically update when Jean updates her spreadsheet - clever stuff, and clever Jean, eh? My blog can be found by clicking into my name at the left hand side of my posts, then clicking on my homepage.
Thanks for all the lovely totals so far. I hope to be adding lots of Chalky squares to mine when I get back! I've packed about eight balls of wool just for the ferry but I think I'll have to limit it to two or three different colours or it'll be too much to carry around on the boat.
I spoke to all the family last night and they are all excited about seeing us, so I really can't wait now! We'll arrive too late to see them tonight (about 10.30pm) but will be visiting them tomorrow. No doubt, we'll be having a late glass of wine as soon as we arrive at our friends' house tonight, then I hope to have a good night's sleep - the last few nights have been a bit short of sleep, as you can imagine!
Anyway, I hope to pop in again before we leave at around 10.30 this morning so I'll say au revoir a bit later!
