Chalky - I think your DD has inherited your bonkers gene! She looks terrific - tell her I just love the nightie!
I have just, at last, posted the latest update on my blog, which you can find by clicking into my name at the left-hand side of this post, and clicking on my homepage.
Well done on all the latest totals - this year is going so well, thank you, all of you. I really hope to be able to contribute much more this year. I am determined to try and manage my time better, especially now that DH has promised he will be getting some more help with the renovations. He needs to take a huge roof off for replacement in the spring, and I have dared him to ask me to help with that job!
Our wonderful Jean will be doing the update while I'm away (TBH, she makes a much better job of it than I do!), so thank you so much, Jean, not just for doing it for me but also for it a lot easier to do!
Well, more present-wrapping now that I have got the chores done.
I hope everyone has a good day. Our snow is melting very slowly, but no more has fallen, and the sun is shining in a bright blue sky, so, even though it's still cold, I can't complain.

All things you make are super, I really like the latest Lapacuddly and the cakes, but how do you make so much so quickly and what do you do with everything?
How are the puppies coming on?
I’ve done you quite a few squares & motif thingies to go on some & from the posts on here ......
I hope you realise you could be sewing them up until this time next time next year!!!!

Thank you so much May. I worked full time for so many years and at the same time had a very busy life with 3 children and a husband doing shift work. When we retired I suddenly found myself having the time to be creative again and I just love it.
To be honest I always have something on the go. Even if we drive a few miles I have my WIP with me. I have balls of wool everywhere with needles sticking out!!! I usually have things that need no attention-- Granny Squares are a classic example. I always crochet when uploading pics on my blog etc and i can watch television and crochet at the same time.
I send most of my stuff to Lou at Loving Hands as I think she does such wonderfully varied challenges. Also some of the tiny things I have sent to Shelley in the past
We are also lucky enough to have some very special little people in our lives so for example the cakes are going to go in a drawstring bag as props for a pretend cake shop. I find that making things as presents is really appreciated and helps with pension pennies.
As for the squares I do love sewing up and finishing so I don't mind how many come but I am also happy if people feel they want to complete their own lapacuddlyghans and add them to the overall total. We shall see. I think they have made a nice little filler activity as we waited for the new challenges from Loving Hands.
Puppies!!! They are for a wedding - little presents for the tiniest guests!

Good morning everyone and lots of gentle (((hugs))) for all those in need.
Well, I am definitely within sight of the ferry now, and trying to get everything organised in time. I still have a bit of shopping to do, which I will do this morning, then I have to wrap a few more presents - whilst wondering just how I'm going to fit them all in the car! I don't think DH realises just how many there are!
The little outfit for Summer is now just a top with a matching headband because I ran out of wool to make the little pants - just have to sew a button onto the top, then I can take a photo of it. I have now officially started on Chalky squares again, which I will carry on doing until we come back from our trip. I have sorted out a bag full of odds and s*ds of wool for them, so it will be a great way of using them up. I finished one last night. I have packed up the squares for Lou but will post them from the UK early next week - it'll be cheaper that way!
We have to organise Louis for his stay at my friend's house. He has his own blanket, as well as a woolly hat of mine that he has taken a shine to, so he will be taking those with him, plus his own bowls. My friend takes in cats so he will have to go in a pen, but it's a big one with lots of toys in it. I can't help feeling mean about it because he has so much space here with lots of fields to run around in, but at least he'll be safe and well looked after. I'm not sure he'll be 'speaking' to us afterwards, though!
Anyway, the kettle is boiling again. I think I'll have another cuppa then do some more wrapping up.

Update: 1 Chalky square with more to add, hopefully, on my return!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Morning everyone :hello:
Bit delicate today....no idea why
Went to my friends last night really looking forward to a naughty cream cake.....and guess what.... she had decided we did'nt need cream cakes it would be better for us to have Snak-a-jacks  can you believe it, I said what sort of a thing is that to do to anyone, I been looking forward to that cake all day...........and I mean, well, snak-a-jacks dont go down to good with the old vino do they????????
Must admit they were'nt too bad, small packets of toffee flavoured ones would'nt say they are a substitue for cream cakes though:rotfl:
But I did get a premmie cardi nearly finished, just got to sew it up and do the band.
Got loads to do today so better get a wriggle on
