Missed you all yesterday, a lady I know screwed up her computer so I spent most of yesterday and all this morning clearing some of the junk off it - was taking 45 minutes to just log in and get on line. Problem seems to be her DH who downloads all sorts of rubbish and then promptly forgets it - doesn't even use the half of it! OOO MEN. Anyway, back now and I have an e mail from the knitting machine professor Maggi who asked if I will go up and see her next Thursday - YES - she has also said I can raid her STASH for some red/white and blue might even nab some black too while I am there. The drawback is she has set me some homework to complete before I go, so I shall spend this weekend and probably most of next week trying to get it all done. I also have a list of things written down in my book that I would like her to help answer for me. I haven't seen her for about 8 months although we keep in touch on the emails and the phone, so I am really looking forward to spending the day with her.

THIS WEEKS UPDATES all for the RED (WHITE) and BLUE challenge

    6 Doughnuts
5 cup cakes (it would have been 6 but someone nabbed one)

Will go and do my signature now then catch up with everybody's posts.
Hope your all keeping warm and big cuddles to you all.

Just had a quick read through - F1 cannot believe you are STILL having kwap from the school!
CHOCCLARE - welcome back, your name has just given me an idea to see if I can make some Eclaires in the cake factory!
Mioliere - not long for your hols now - you sleeping at nights yet?
PippaS - I love that wiggley blanket - what crochet is it - I could have a go?
PSSO - hope the snow goes soon - and you manage your meal out in safety and warmth
I really should read the posts prior to posting a message - yeh full of good intentions I am!

    What a day!

My brother (Alan) was rushed into hospital with a suspected heart attack. He had one last year, not long after major surgery on his back. His back operation had been cancelled countless times, and even when it went ahead they had to stop before they were finished because he wasn't doing well. Lately he seemed to be getting better and was hoping to get the rest of the surgery, but when I gave him a lift on Wednesday I knew he wasn't well and told him to go to the doc.... do men ever listen? :(

I just wish January was over and done with.

Oh, Lorna - you must wonder if it's ever going to stop. What a shock for you and Alan. Please wish him well. I hope you and your family get some peace and calm soon.

Mrs Moneypenny - your squares are lovely. I find them quietly satisfying to make and will be doing Chalky squares all the way to the UK and back next week!

Well, I've been trying to work while keeping one eye and ear on the Iraq inquiry on the television. I nipped out to do some shopping at lunchtime then did a bit more to the outfit I'm still trying to get finished for Summer. I've almost finished the top and there's a pair of little pants to go with it. They look more straightforward than the top, so I hope they will work up quickly.

Anyway, off for a shower then a sit down with my wool.

I hope you all have a peaceful evening.

Well 3 course lunches may be delicious-- but I haven't been fit to even "knock the skin off a Rice Pudding!" this afternoon and I only had 1 glass of Vino Collapso !! It was lovely to spend time with good friends but I was soooooo full. Of course I could/should have said NO to the Banofee Pie. But no, and Banoffee do't go together in the same sentence!!!

So after a little snooze (DOH did the heads, shoulders , knees and toes on his own !!) I have finished off a selection of crochet and knitted cakes and biscuits. Pictures and plan to be revealed soon!

Next I am going to sew all the odds and sods squares into a Lapacuddlyghan and then I am going to work with NO diversions (even Loving Hands) until all the puppies are finished. Thats a definite. I wish they hadbeen hedgies but they have 2 dogs and requested puppies . So puppies it must be !!

Well I hope everyone has restful happy weekends doing all the things which bring you joy. So no ironing or housework allowed

Love to you L.C Wilson . Hope brother is Ok
    Kathy -- Exciting ,exciting !!

Lovely Chalky Squares everyone. Thank You so much
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Good evening everyone.

I was very restrained in the wool shop, for me :o and bought only 8 balls (100g) :T I got a beautiful aqua colour, a blue that reminds me of the flower Morning Glory, a cream and a cornflower blue. Can you guess what colour scheme my blanket is going to have :rotfl::rotfl: I am doing the granny squares in 6" as it's a nice size I have decided.

I'll be glad when Monday comes and we can put January to bed for another year it's been a toughie for so many of us on here.

Have a good rest of the evening everyone I'm about to toddle up for a bath and an early night with the latest Martina Cole book that I collected from the library this morning :D

I'll post totals on Sunday as I'm hoping to get a bit more done before then.

    Love to all xxxxx
