    Hi everyone,
Just checking in, still feeling rough (did go to Doc who advised me to take the antibiotics if my throat got worse, and I have, and to continue with painkillers for sinuses).
Finished making all Christmas presents/cards and need to write and wrap tomorrow.
Currently making another ruffle scarf although with a tighter final row than pattern- to make it more bell shaped, and looking good.
Congrats on the baby Shelley, and hope the rest of you are ok. Re the tarot I don't believe in that sort of thing, so if you don't mind I won't look mine up- seems you are all having fun with it ;).
May glad to see you posting again :D.
Kathy, I have no more charity updates and but anything I knit before Christmas will be carried into January, as you suggested, from now on!
Likely won't be on much either next week, so all keep well until then.

  • Evening all...hugs Os for the lingering lurgy...hope it goes very soon...like you I havent done the tarot as being of the Jesus believing variety didnt feel comfy but interesting reading all yours! Mine at the moment would come in as the lay fat a**** who cant get of the sofa lol!!Gave isoke a bath as shes a bit stinky again - bless her shes not v good at getting all the nooks- taken away from her mum too young so will ask vet for advice on how you can teach them without having to do it yourself lol!
Have been felting some hearts which I will put in little pots (49p from dunelm) as a "pots of love" for people who are a bit special. Like you chalky I worry that people wont like the hm but people I am giving them too will love the time and effort that has gone into each - even if they dont love the pressie!! Off to make some more!

    Hi all

Jean - your floor games sound amazing!

Chalky - have a great trip back; looking forward to hearing that you've arrived safely back home in the UK!

Shez - congratulations on the new arrival!

Orkney - hope you start feeling better soon.

Maytaurus - hope life is looking up for you.

Kinsey -thanks for the lovely card!

Thanks for the latest totals. Will do the last update before Christmas later on today, then the next one will be at the end of the first week in January.

Linedancerann - I hope the shoulder gets better soon. My DH gets that a lot, and I know he finds it really painful, as well as a nuisance because it stops him getting on with things. He had one really painful bout of it when we had already booked to come over here and work on the house, so I had to do all the driving from the ferry, which was something I'd rather not have done! That night, the pain in his shoulder got so bad, I packed a big bag of ice which he held on it for about an hour, and the pain disappeared. He couldn't believe how well it worked. Touch wood, he's had a few twinges but nothing as bad as that since.

Well, I think I'd better start going through all the presents I've made and start wrapping them up. Because we're not taking them back until January, I've got a little more time in hand than usual, but that will soon go I'm sure.

    Anyway, will call back later.

Well, yesterday was spent finishing off the crochet part of the cushion covers I'm making. I just have to sew in the ends, then block the pieces before I sew them up, and that will be another pressie done.

DS2 Skyped last night and I saw Summer smiling and giggling away, which was lovely. She's turning in to such a little personality; I can't wait to see her again. I'm going to find this Christmas really strange because I usually see everyone on the day.

It’s fantabulous !! ... (Sort of like "fabulous" but much more fabulous than the word "fabulous" can convey. Like supercalifragilisticexpialidocius but shorter and easier to spell.) l-o-l

Sounds like you had a lovely time at the carol Service
    Have a safe trip home!!

I’m sure you peeps worrying about people not liking their gifts are stressing needlessly and if they don’t like them they can always give them to charity where they will find a loving appreciative home

    Heart Gifts
It's not the things that can be bought that are life's richest treasure, it's just the little "heart gifts" that money cannot measure...
A cheerful smile, a friendly word, a sympathetic nod
Are priceless little treasures from the storehouse of our God...
They are the things that can't be bought with silver or with gold, for thoughtfulness and kindness and love are never sold...
They are priceless things in life for which no one can pay, and the giver finds rich recompense in giving them away.

    Hi everyone :-)
Last few days have been a bit yuk, but all seems to be a bit better now :-)
Have finished the first of the second pair of slipper socks for my next door neighbour. Did a few rows of my charity square, it's gradually getting there. Last I heard my friend is on her second one :-)
Hope you all had a good weekend, and those of you a bit under the weather are feeling better, so soon will be :-)
Have a blessed and prosperous day in all you are doing.
