Chalky -Hi bonkers ;) great photos, and the colours are lovely. O I want to do wrist warmers now, think I will have to start doing a night shift on my knitting and crochet :rotfl:
ISOM - that cake sounds yummmmy
Shelley - parcel sent yesterday with 2 santas,6 mobile phone sox,4 stockings,1 cardi and 1 boob
Kathy - yes they are very addictive every time I finish one I am looking around for colours for the next ;) trebles are good they make it look lacy. I think the secret is doing the starting chain quite loose it seems to make it a bit longer as well.
 May keep warm its very cold today x

OH has just gone down to pick Jan and her OH up from the QE, I was going to do them some lunch but I don't expect he will feel like eating, I will wait until they get back, Jan can always have something anyway.

Better go get the kettle on
Have good days all, might be back later

  • Afternoon all,

Just a quick pop in to say thank you for all the birthday wishes. I had a wonderful night at the footie, even though we didn't win, it was just an experience to be there. My son and I have decided that we should buy each other tickets for games for all birthdays and Xmas's from now on!!! That way we would both get a treat!!!

Lovely photos - loved the sock monkey and the blanket he was sitting on is fab.

Take care all, keep warm, it is very cold today.

    Ann xx

    Confused
I just searched for PreemiesUk, and this came up: http://www.new.purplexstitch.co.uk/cgi-bin/index.cgi?action=forum&board=culdesac&op=display&num=140
Anyone any idea what this is all about ?
I am not making any accusations.....has anyone come across this forum before ? It does seem to date from 2007 but clearly mentions Shelley and Preemies UK!
    Thanks.

I will Tell you all about it

When i was knitting for BONNIE BABIES i had a load accusations which is going back 3 years now and when i decided to go my own way they didn't like it and started to spread load of rubbish about me. I went to the Charity commissions and they took the steps and got in touch with Bonnie Babies telling them stop and now for the last 2 years there has been any hassle, i was having nasty emails and messages all over the internet, If anyone wants proof of where your items go feel free to contact me and i will send you copies of letters from the hospitals which all have recieved items, I hate this when these messages come up but these comments are made in 2007 and we are now in 2009

it also mentions about cross stitching which i was doing at the school with the children at my local school which i did not sell as all the children had kits for christmas presents which they all enjoyed

also i would like to add i have kept reciepts of everything i send out for the last 2 years if anyone wants to see them too,

Sorry but this has really upset me

Like I said, I was making no accusations, or trying to upset you- I put it on here knowing you would see it, and be able to comment for yourself. I also sent one PM (to Chalky) as she was the only one who seemed to be online at the time, incase this had been addressed already (I am new to this thread you see!) and she could explain- she has not replied as yet though (lets hope she is doing something more fun like knitting)! It is a shame that url comes up near the top when searching for Preemies UK.....I am not sure you can do anything about it either!
TBH I have sent stuff to Bonnie Babies, Loving Hands and Preemies UK, on the assumption they were all genuine.
Thanks for letting us know about the parcels arriving and hope you are able to get the things sent out to the places that need them most :D.

Hi everyone. I found this http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/news/1306379.0/ during my travels around the net looking for preemie patterns and so on. It seems our Shezmit is hiding her light under a bushel, but I thought you'd all like to read it to show you just how important and welcome all your lovely items are. Thank you, Shelley! It must have been a terrifying time for you when your DD was born.

Maybe everyone should look at this which mioliere posted earlier in the week before making any decisions . . .
