Hello Everybody
Obviously we shall all breath a collective sigh of relief about Mays homecoming. I am sure our card will cheer her up even more so thanks again ISOM .
Also glad your sister is home Kathy I hate hospitals and get in a right state when I have to go so to be a mixed ward with all that going on would see me out the door! I hope your sister goes on well now she is back home. Good luck for your do this evening. Your sunny blog will make you feel better I hope Talking of blogs thank you to Jean for your encouraging words and thanks so much for popping in.
Again talking of blogs I think there should be another certifiable illness registered with the World Health Organisation.

Afternoon all
Just got back from Mum's, she had a new fireplace and fire, delivered this AM and OH fitted it, looks really good, Mum's pleased so thats the main thing. She asked me to pick it so we went to B&Q and took a photo of the one I thought she would like, put it on here and took this over so she could have a look at it she loved it so we went and ordered it Wednesday (so we got the 10% over 60 discount) it was reduced by £30 as well :T
Kathy - glad your sister is back home where she will get some peace and quite and TLC. Enjoy your "Beaujolly" evening, (OH's sniffles permitting);)
Jean - Thanks for keeping us up to date with May.:D Talking hair, I always wanted dark curly hair when I was young, but I have shortish, poker straight, fine blonde hair (going white/grey now though) and with the bright red nose looked more like a wild and wooly Rudolph :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
SuzyQ - nice to see you back, you've got the right idea keep building the stash for a rainy day :rotfl:
WELCOME HOME May take it easy and lots of rest:A
I started the wheelchair wrap last night and its growing really quickly,
looking forward to a night in front of the TV with my crochet, in the warm.
Right off to friend's now, hopefully he will have had his results back from the hospital.
Back later
Anne

Hello chaps, long time no see - quite literally, as I have just had an operation on my right eye and am now at home for a week while my loving and supportive family make pirate jokes about me. Still, might get some of this knitting lark finished...
Thanks for the update, shezmit, but poo, as I see you're already all up together with some of the stuff I have knitted and I was going to get your address and send that off this week. Never mind, I'll see if I can do a couple of teddies and send that and what I've done along anyway in the hope that it'll come in useful in future, unless you think eg gowns and angel pocket would be of more use to someone else? I can still send you boobs and a cardi. I am knitting a SANDS blanket at the moment as it's easy to do (or, as my husband would insist on saying (adopt West Country accent), it ARRRRR easy to do) - nearly finished the main body of it and then I can start the edging - those of you who've made one before, do you do the edging on all four sides or just three?
Well, as we pirate queens say, our weapons of choice ARRRRR pointy sticks and string, so I'll get back to my one-eyed knitting...
I know I've missed LOADS, but can't see well enough to catch up - doubtless I'll get the gist eventually.0 -
Thanks for keeping us updated Jean.
Welcome home maytaurus.:j:j:j0 -
Chocclare
All items are welcome even if the update says Completed as we go through so many of the items.

I am SO pleased that May is at home at last. May, if you're reading this, take care of yourself; you've been sorely missed.
Jean - thank you for updating us on May.
ChocClare - you poor thing. I hope you recover really quickly from your op.
Pippa - I really must dig out my copy of the wheelchair wrap pattern. I want to make one for my Mum. She's not in a wheelchair but it looks just the kind of thing she would make good use of.
