  • Morning all,

F1 nice to see you back, take it easy.
Shaz/K2tog hope you feel better soon.
ISOM good luck with lodger for tomorrow.
Roamin thanks for the update on May, it's a relief to know she's on the mend.
Mioliere glad your sister is getting better.

Well I've finished ds1's blanket now and it hasn't turned as bad as I thought, I started on a pair of gloves last night stripey ones for ds1 & will do different stripes for ds2 as it's suddenly turned cold here or it could just be the rain. Still i'm counting my blessings as it hasn't flooded here and I know some places have already.
Well I must get on lots of baking to do today, cakes for school and for DH to take to work for children in need tomorrow.

    ((hugs to all)).x

    afternoon (already)

Hope you are all well and keeping warm, its really cold here
I decided the garden needed some TLC. So out I go to give it a tidy up, not that it needs it, much  Well you know what its like, get outside and time flies, and trying to sweep up leaves in the wind, hmmm not a good idea.
I came back in a few mins ago, walked past the mirror on the way and gave myself such a fright, I look like a mad woman, didnt realise I had so much hair :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Kathy - glad to hear your cold is finally on its way out, also that your sister is being allowed to go home. Thanks for the magic circle link, will go have a deko later
linedancerann - no floods here, if there were we would really be in trouble, we live on top of a hill ;):rotfl:really feel for the poor folks who get flooded out every time there is heavy rain, must be awful.
ISOM - fingers crossed this lodger is "normal" you deserve a bit of luck this time
Jean - thanks for keeping us up to date with May, I'm so pleased she is getting better,
OnlyGirl - any chance of blanket pic, I just love to see the things we all make,
mrs-moneypenny - well done on the cardi, looks like it will be finished tonight then :D hope you will be posting a pic on wooligans
Shaz - glad the chest pains are getting better, hope the cough isnt disturbing your sleep

Managed another couple of stockings last night and started on another santa.
Fancy doing something for Mum she keeps buying me wool (she is so good to me and I love her to bits) she orders it over the phone from Redicut and is tickled pink they remember her every time, and she chats away to them, I'm sure she thinks she's the only one who talks to them all day:rolleyes:

I have a pattern for a wheelchair wrap from you Pam :wave:and I never did get round to doing it so I am going to do that, not that Mum goes in the wheelchair very often, but she sits up in bed reading or listening to the radio so I think she will love it, just need to get cracking on it if I want it done by Christmas.

BTW Kathy thanks for the explanation re:your board name, I often wondered where it came from,

    better get sorted for Lunch
    Back later

  • what is a button wrap?!! Lodget sounds lovely, so far reliable but the one thing that will scupper it is if they delay her start date too much as cant afford to loose months and months rent...trying to reach a compromise if its end Jan so that she pays 2 weeks rent so meeting half way IYKWIM! We get on so far and would be a shame for both of us to loose a good share...dont need too normal as am quite eclectic myself lol...just ot to the degree of the last one but she would be hard to beat lol!!
Just got 3 knitty books from library ad going to bed to read them...curretly not raining here..prob for about mins!!

    ISOM that's priceless!
  • PRFUNGI- I printed off the list of hook sizes - bet I go and lay it down somewhere safe and not find it again. I watched that video of the magic circle at least four times now and still not any further forward, she confuses me by doing different stitches. So tomorrow I WILL read the pattern all the way through and see if I can make any sense out of it.
ISOM - good luck with this lodger
LINDANDERANN I thought we had a lot of rain but I think you are beating us hands down this week, stay in the warm and dry I am sure you can find something nice to do.
Cuddles to everybody, sending you good weather for the weekend - I am taking the rain but that's fine by me I have a load of inside jobs to get done.
PIPPAS I never notice my hair because its always curly some wet days its unbelievable think I am getting used to it but it was a pain during the growing up years. Bet you looked lovely and windswept.
Off for a quick shower and a hot drink - methinks early to bed with a book, back soon
OH before I forget, CHALKY you are very naughty mentioning all those sweeties..I shall now have to make a huge big list of my own, great blog by the way I visit often just to have a peek at what your up to with that sunshine bus
