Pam - good to see you posting and hope your cold finally goes very soon. I agree about the tiredness - it's possibly the most annoying symptom of this particular cold. I sat down after lunch today and dozed off instantly; the thing is, I woke up feeling freezing cold and even more tired, so I don't feel as if I've had a good nap.

K2tog - hope you feel better soon.

I'm going to have a cuppa then sit down with my crochet.

  • Hello, everyone
I havent posted on this thread before but I am wondering if any of the knitters here can help me? I am looking for a pattern of timmy the lamb glove puppet by alan dart it was in a womans weekly magazine. My little girl is timmy mad and would love this for christmas, I would be very happy to give a donation to the charity of your choice if anyone has it and would allow me to borrow it.
    Thank you

Kinsey, I want to make egg custards, treacle tarts, and maids of honour, but it has to be just the right colour for cake pastry. Cream doughnuts are orangey brown and that's just as hard to find. Might have to resort to fondant fancies!

  • Pol - I used beige for the pastry and my doughnuts too - just look a bit under cooked.

  • Update on Maytaurus, had a quick e mail from Russell to bring everyone up to date, he apologizes for not having been in touch sooner but has moved in with his Grandfather and Grandmother to look after them and only has access to the internet when he gets back home, which isn't too often at present.

“Maytaurus has had some stents fitted and has now been moved back to Crewe. She is looking and sounding a lot better now and has had a shift of bed in the ward as she was too noisy, so that can be taken as a positive sign that she is now on the mend. Things are slowly but surely getting better and hopefully it won't be long before everyone is back home and life can continue as normal.”

I have passed on every ones, love, best wishes and prayers for when he next visits, I also have the hospital address if you contact me I will pass it on.

So it will be a wee while yet before we get her lovely posts back, but we can all continue to send good thoughts for a speedy recovery.
