Hi Roamin
got yourself in a tizz again, calm down woman have a glass of something sensible :rotfl:
K2 & Mioliere have given you some lovely info, I love the magic ring, always use it rather than making a chain ring.
Here's a linky for an all on one page conversions - I have it bookmarked so I don't lose it - http://www.kcgtrading.com/conversioncharts.html
Been naughty again - called in the wool shop for some brighter wools for the baby cardis - (un)fortunately I forgot to go to cash machine first & no cheque book so I could only spend £12 - I got some lovely heathery denim colour, some mustardy goldy yellow with tiny flecks and a gorgeous lipstick pink. I've started on a funky little wrap type cardi in the pink - will take a piccy when its properly underway.
'bye for now,
luv

Hi everyone
Jean - sorry about the 'mioliere'! Even the French don't always get it right (it's the name of our hamlet, La Mioliere). I chose it because I didn't think anyone else would ever have a name like that! To hear the French pronounce it is really weird - they miss out all the l's and it just sounds like a long grunt.
Pam's right about the magic circle; it's really useful and easy when you know how.
Pam - thanks for that conversion chart; I've bookmarked it because it has all the info on the one page. All that wool you 'had' to buy sounds lovely - can't wait to see the photos.
Well, I've almost finished the crochet scarf I started yesterday; I would have finished it if I hadn't dozed off on the sofa with the cat spread-eagled on my lap! I'm going to finish it today then use the same pattern for a bunting to see how that works out. If it turns out well, I shall post the pattern on here.
Sadly, I must do some online work today - I've really neglected it since my cold started. I'm almost back to normal (not that DH has ever described me as that!) so I have a lot to catch up on.
My sister should be home from hospital tomorrow as long as the doctors are happy with the results of her tests today. They still haven't said what's wrong with her, though, but hopefully they will have a name for it by the time she comes home. My BIL said it's about time she got home - he's running out of clean clothes and the house needs hoovering! Seriously, he's so not like that - he does all the cooking and a lot of the cleaning because her health has never been good, so I suspect she'll be really spoiled. He said they'll Skype tomorrow evening - I can't wait to 'see' her because I've been so worried. It's horrid being so far away. I must find the pocket angel pattern and make one for her.
Anyway, the kettle is singing my song.

Good news about your sister mioliere, it must be hard to be so far away, even if there's nothing you do for her, except sympathise and chat of course.
I agree re the magic circle, stops that annoying little hole you get using chain. Now if someone could come up with a magic decrease so that when stuffed there's no spaces that
would be wonderful.0 -
