    Hi everyone,

Not been having a great time lately so I haven’t been posting on this thread because I didn’t want to moan, but I’m determined to buck myself up so I’m going to try to post every day to list my goals in the hope that I will achieve at least some of them. :o

Special thanks to two lovely Old Stylers who have been so supportive. One made and sent me a card with some lovely words that made me cry and the other has offered to go and see my daughter (who had a small accident) for me as she lives near to her and will be able to see her before I can. You are both angels. :A

Bargainbird, I hope you and your family are ok and beginning to come to terms with your dreadful loss. My thoughts are with you.
Bitsy Beans, Happy Birthday to your ds and good luck with your inspection.
ravylesley, good luck with your test.
thriftlady, that recipe sounds lovely! My youngest son has been in the same position as your dd and now refuses to take certain foods to school. It annoys me but I don't make a fuss because he's the one who has to deal with the mindless comments.
DG hope you get to your final destination safely.

Breakfast was cheese on toast, lunch is leftover stew and tea will be a spicy chicken and mushroom stir-fry with noodles. I’ve done a quick clean around and I have two loads of washing on the line…it’s dry at the moment but looks like rain so fingers crossed that it won’t. I’m trying to do some decluttering so hopefully two bags will be filled soon….one for the bin and one for the charity shop. This afternoon I have the usual after school/teatime chaos then I’m off to work for the evening.

I hope you’re all having a good day.

Thriftlady you can buy La Chinita pimenton picante from Sainsbury. It s the one in the square red tin.
You can also buy it in 1kg tubs from various online spanish grocers. :D
That's what I thought I had but when I looked more colsely it said 'sweet' on the side of the tin. It didn't occur to me to pop down to Sainsburys and see if they had the hot one:wall:

Pink I hope you feel better soon:kisses3:

I know what you mean about kids' lunches and the nasty comments they sometimes get (it isn't often with my 3), it isn't worth sacrificing my children on the altar of my real food principles. Perhaps I'll send jam sandwiches tomorrow:D

But no doubt it will be h/m bread & h/m jam, not the white sliced stodge & sugary fruit pulp the processed kids would be expecting!!

    Afternoon all.

    Happy Birthday Master Bitsy.

I seem to be having another bleurgh day today - Pen-Pin, do you think if they put us both in a sack and shook us up, we'd get a reasonably functional body between us? :D:D

Anyway, I'm going to do a little light tidying (mainly paperwork and such like), a bit of PC maintenance - disk clean-up, defrag etc - and plan what evil tasks I can find for Mr LW for the weekend.

Luckily he's requested pasta & cheese sauce for dins, and I can make that on autopilot.

((((HUGS)))) to all who want/need one today; Bargainbird I hope you're OK; Pink feel better soon.:o

    Afternoon all,

Not read todays posts yet but will do so over a coffee shortly.

Bargainbird you and your entire family remain in my thoughts and prayers.

I want to say a huge very public thank you to the fab :Athriftlady:A who posted a recipe for pea pesto a couple of weeks ago.:T Yummy doesn't come close.
I am not totally mobile at the moment and am relying very much on stuff I have put into the freezer and stuff that can be done in stages.

It is getting a bit samey though. The pea pesto is fab really tasty and even more importantly at the mo dead easy.
I am going to have a look over other posts for more inspiration.please don't worry thriftlady I am not a stalker-honest:rotfl:(and even if I was I would be a limping one!!!

Mark is much better-probably the best he has been for years so hopefully
    this will continue.
Other than that nothing much different. Cats ok(currently got five on the other sofa-hard life eh?)

Hugs to everyone and hope you are well happy and organised(see I KNOW the word just don't know HOW to do it!)
Will have a read and post later.

    Have a good afternoon.

    Ann xx

    That made me laugh:D....quite possibly:p

OH has prepped(sp) all the veg to be roasted and there seems to be tons. HG carrots, butternut squash, onions, green/red & yellow peppers and sweet potatoes. I have splashed over olive oil and salt & pepper and just about to put the oven on to start slow roasting. Not going to do the cauli cheese tonight. Could I cook the cauli tonight then put in the Remoska tomorrow or Friday with the cheese sauce over it? I think the cauli needs to be cooked up soon or it will turn.

Hubby is doing some ironing as I type, even if he can do a dozen of his tops it would help.

My friend text earlier as he is in NY again and asked me to choose 5 items for him to bring back for me:DI decided on large original Dove deo sticks, Skippy (creamy) peanut butter, Twizzlers, Twinkies & Jerky. He is coming over for dinner next week, so will do him one of my lamb and dumpling stews that he likes so much:confused:

Tomorrow I am having my hair cut. There isnt much of it ATM but it needs tidying up and I need a little treat to make me feel a bit more up beat.

    Anyway, hope all is well.

Mmmmm, pea pesto, like the sound of that, have you got a linky please thrifty?

Well oh's mum's attic is now clear, but how much stuff did his sis have!!!! She is a worse hoarder than me, and that really is saying something, even oh said I wasn't as bad, and this is high praise considering how much he goes on about my hoarding tendencies! Loads of stuff for charity shop and lots of plain old rubbish (old school books?!) taken to tip. Think she'll be left with a box of "stuff" and a couple of boxes of photos - had to leave her to the last bit as dd3 needed collecting from school!

Dinner tonight has become sausage and mash with onion gravy and veggies - forgot to get puff pastry out of freezer, doh! I've just had some veg soup, was labelled curry and I was looking forward to something hot to clear away my sniffles, so I added a dollop of harissa and some leftover rice from yesterday, very nice!

Time to get on with veggies now for kids, then shower and off to work, pah!
