i think 'dune' was £50 something!
  • Can someone please confirm if the download can be an mp3 file? My old nokia supports only mp3 and few other uncommon formats only.

If its legal to do it from the site you are downloading audiobooks from, you will find some useful videos here about how to put on mp3, ipod and burn to cd

This is excellent, I am hopefully working overtime this weekend and I love listening to audiobooks on my mp3 player when I am working.

I cant access the site at the minute (Its blocked from work) so I will check it out when I get home.

£4 free trial sign up if you go via Quidco

Thanks for the tip bylromarha, I wouldn't have thought of going through Quidco but now I'm £4 richer than I was yesterday.

I'm not a big fan of audiobooks but I joined to download a couple of live stand-up shows and have just had my cancellation confirmation e-mail. Thanks Martin!!

I joined about a year ago too. Didnt realise my samsung mp3 was not compatible for the downloads:0( I had no trouble cancelling though. Seems you need an Ipod and a limited type of other mp3 players

  • I,m tired and I've managed to stuff up this getting the two audio book freebie i think?........I put the two titles in my basket, and I'd previously joined and added my credit card details, but when I completed the transaction thinking the 14.99 would be charged say at the end of the month, the screen advised me that my card had ALREADY been charged!!!

Oh god, can't believe MSE are promoting these shysters!

They've had this 'free audiobook trial' for ages. Just wait till you try to cancel.
Suddenly you'll find your email has been lost in the post, or they suddenly require three forms of identification, or there's a computer error that results in your credit card being charged for three months after you cancel, or any number of other excuses.

    Please, avoid at all costs!

Poppycock! Sorry Poppy, I disagree with you completely. I joined some years ago and had first rate service and Tech support. I retired last year and had to reduce my outgoings and rang Audible to cancel. Spoke with a most charming man and nothing was too much trouble to him. I can thoroughly recommend.

Speak as you find, as my lovely gran used to say:D
  • You are also offered this deal if you are a cineworld unlimited member - though they are touting it as being exclusive! Very annoying to miss out on the cashback, wish I'd checked my other emails first!

I used these ages ago - if I remember rightly you can burn to cd using iTunes (but I could be wrong so do check) :)
