  • Well I have gone over as usual - I reckon by £47 but I know there were some things there that aren't normal GC stuff - but i seem to have lost my reciepts for 2 weeks!! November starts on friday for me and i would usually do an online shop at Mr T's, however I have 2 £3 off £30 vouchers (one valid this week, one valid next week) so I'm gonna do my shop prematurely and do half of it this afternoon!!

Hi all , well spent more money today on shopping a whopping £4.16 :money:, this included toilet rolls (12 pack), loads of bananas ( 45p a kilo), carrots, two tins of baked beans, broccoli and mince(400g). only had £4.31 on me so really happy with that.
I have about £51 to last till next week. Half term is coming so can see lots of baking happening with the boys.Fingers crossed OH may have a job this week and hopefully so will i. Have a job interview on Thursday, hope i get it.

Had more people turn for food so the bill is rising rapidly and so is the milk consumption .

got major plans for the mince going to make a pan of mince mix and then split up into four meals so aiming to get 16 portions. So trying for chilli, spag bol etc out of it.
Making corn beef pie + veg for tea. Won't be very meaty but hey ho may as well try.

    right off to prep tea.

Rosieben - well done on cancelling that order
Kezlou - Good luck with the interview, hope you both get jobs

We are also gonna be over budget this month, whilst we have loads in the freezer there really isn't much that the kiddies like so may have to do a kiddie freezer shop.I've also got to buy a cake [from costco's] as I leave work on Thursday, there is no way I can make a cake like their's - they are lush and I will bring home any that is left as they are massive cakes, shame that I'm the only one that likes them lol!!!!

Even though we are going over budget I still consider my shopping costs to be a success as 3 months ago not only did I not know how much I was spending [big shock when I added it up] we also bought any old stuff that just wasn't useful for meals so I am still trying to find a happy medium for the shopping budget so its all practise makes perfect.

Good luck everyone and happy no shopping

PS AlwaysHappy - I've made a note of your budget for Nov - thank you.

  • NSD for me here, not going anywhere at the moment as I pulled my neck out so trying to rest up somewhat (but working on laptop at home) seeing Dr tomorrow so will see what he recommends.

Made choc muffins from storecupboards only took 5 mins and making fajitas for dinner (steak was chopped in freezer as were tortillas and have sour cream, cheese and avocado in from weekly shop.

Volunteered to make my mum and dad an anniversary cake today as they are having a party in Jan (Ruby wedding anniversary) but ended up buying a big cake tin and a special decoration for approx £45! - plus I will get all the ingredients for their cake and Xmas cake next week - eek so will need to factor the ingedients into my budget! (Still I was going to do the party myself which would have been expensive so now I havent got that spend!

    Have a good evening all

    Welcome and hi

Of course you can join us, MrsM would normally welcome you but at the moment she is indisposed so I am helping out. All you have to do is decide on your grocery budget [for November??] let me know and away you go. I'll post your budget on the first page which will be the post under the fantastic recipes posted by Rosieben. If you need any help or have any questions then please please ask as there are lots of really nice people on here who will help out.

Good luck and happy no shopping
