Managed to stay out of the shops & not spend anything at all over the weekend!

Today I needed to buy some milk, but just bought milk & nothing else. That really should be it now for this month – payday on Friday. Though there is a little bit left in the budget if I really do find I need something else.

I have reorganised the freezers slightly, so that it is meal portions in one & ingredients in the other. And I have started on the shopping list for next month’s big shop. Though looking at my inventory of what I already have in, I shouldn’t really need much!

One of my infrequent updates on spending :o...
£305.86 at the moment, although OH did pay for a some shopping in Mr T's at the weekend so will need to factor that in if I ever find the receipt.

Anyway, we should be pretty much on target, maybe a little bit over. I've also just managed to put some weekly menu plans together which should make shopping easier next month.

Off to update sig now, have a good evening everyone

My month ended last night as I got paid today, total £196.04/£200 so quite pleased with that, can you put me down for £200 again for next month when the thread starts. Good luck everyone.
    I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!
  • Well I know that I'm already over my budget with over a week to go!!!
I spent on the CC last week as I was down after a friend's childs funeral and went a bit mad. I don't even want to know what I spent until I get the bill!
However yesterday I did main meal plan for the next 5 1/2 weeks basing each meal around something out of my over full freezers so I am hoping to keep to a low budget (for me!) next month and just try to think about what I have learned from this month; not to have my CC in my purse, and to post on here as much as possible.

    Hello everyone,
I apologise for having disappeared for a few days but I have been rather busy. All the same, I've continued to keep all my receipts and running totals, and I have £39.12 left in my GC October challenge. Not a lot, but then the Grocery Challenge will only run till Saturday for me this month, so I have high hopes I can still finish on target. Fingers crossed!!!

We have spent only £148 this month so we are way under budget. The problem now is that the kitchen looks like Old Mother Hubbard's. The fridge is virtually empty, no fruit or vegetables left, and cupboards are almost empty. I ned to put in a bulk order for tea, w up liquid and laundry liquid soon as we are down to our last packet/litre. I think it was late January that I bought it all in bulk so it has lasted well.
business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

I'm over budget, still have 9 days of this month to go and have managed to run out of onions and tinned tomatoes so looks like I'll be back at the shops this week. So far I've spent £294.46 from a target of £280, we'll be lucky this month if we come in under £300!

Oh well it's still less than we used to spend so not the end of the world.

a couple of day ago I did a lovely online sainsbugs order, throwing stuff into my basket with gay abandon runblissysmile.gif
ready to go to check out, I saw the total was nearly £100 thud.gif

and I hit the cancel button

I may be moving within the next couple of months so I must stop buying and use up my stocks instead! I'll do a sensible order today for the things I need and I'll make it up to the minimum for £3.50 delivery (£40?) with toilet rolls! :D

hope everyone is having a good week!
... don't throw the string away. You always need string! :D
