I'm afraid I'm with you two :(. Had a sneaky preview weigh today and STS again. I don't know what to do. I'm staying within my points and to be honest I've about reached my limit with what I'm prepared to cut out/do without.

It would be very easy to maintain at this stage as I can eat comfortably enough (or maybe my mind is just adjusting to what I'm 'allowed' so it doesn't feel such a sacrifice?) but I'm only just half way there so need to lose lots more yet. *sigh*

I think also as I'm feeling a bit better about myself, the urgency to lose has worn off a bit, so I find myself using my whole points for the day, or eating things before tracking them (never used to do either) and with various nights out/xmas do's/parties/meals out coming up, I'm so cheesed off with myself for having wasted 2 weeks staying the same, that my willpower is not what it was......

Sorry to hear some of you are hitting the plateau phase, sadly it comes to most of us, (if we haven't dropped out before we get there- well done for making it this far.) The only way I know to get out of a plateau is to change what you eat.

Look at what you've eaten this week and try something different this week. If you always take soup for lunch then ditch it and take a salad and use the flask for hot chocolate that day. I had a flask of chopped up Heinz spaghetti one day this week instead of my usual soup. I also made no points veg soup and had that a couple of days, normally I take a tin of Heinz tomato or chicken for lunch, was getting a bit into a habit so decided I needed to change after last week's net gain. I've still been having BNS chips, but with pointed food instead of to make up for a chocolate bar during the day.:o

Some of you may find the wendie points method of interest - she added some points on some days, then took some away on certain days of the week to restart her weight loss. It all added up to the same over a week, but she felt she needed a day of more fuel in her to kick start her engine as it were. Might be useful for those ppl who have a Christmas party night coming up, it's better to try to eat 10 extra points on that day than think it's just not going to be worth tracking then just go wild.:D

Day 1 normal points allowance +1 point
Day 2 normal points allowance -2 point
Day 3 normal points allowance +10 point
Day 4 normal points allowance -4 point
Day 5 normal points allowance +1 point
Day 6 normal points allowance -2 point
Day 7 normal points allowance -4 point

This week I'm happy to report I've lost 2.5 lbs, so that's last weeks extra pound off, plus another one and a half. I'm back from the gutted corner, haha!

I go into hosp next week for my wee op, and I'm glad to say I've now dropped 3.75 points off my BMI :j. I'm still very heavy, but not nearly as bad as I was. 22 1/2pounds lighter - thanks to all of you for this thread, and the support and encouragement on it.:T:A

Thanks ailuro2, and :T:j:T on the fab weight loss, this week and WOW for the overall loss! I really must get my finger out :)

I think no/low point soups may be the way to go next week, so will add lots of veggies and some lean beef and chicken to my online grocery order later. I do like it and it's very filling for few points on a cold day.

Off to try on some of my old size 14 jeans for incentive.....
  • well done girlies!

133.7lbs today, 0.3lbs on this week grr! But can't complain as I have been eating lots so am surprised it isn't more. I am just going to aim for damage limitation till after the New Year to be honest!!! If I can start January no heavier than I am now I will be happy.

I will take it easy foodwise over Christmas - strangely, I don't overeat over the festive period as there is so much food around it is actually daunting!!! Lol

Went for a big walk yesterday, which was good to get the blood circulating. I'm going to keep it up - have slipped into very lazy habits the last few months.

How did the other Monday WI peeps get on?

2lbs off here , no clue how, have also been stuffing my face as TOTM approaches, and went out for (v naughty) dinner Friday night. Methinks I better watch out next week when it all catches up with me!

I know I'll come unstuck over Christmas (lots of yummy food and not daunting at all, sadly!) so I need to try and stick with it for at least another week or two. I'm now 1 stone away from the maximum weight I could live with being IYKWIM?
