  • Hi Tara :hello:

I'm up for this. I am now 11st 12lbs after a summer of scoffing! My aim is 10st 12lbs so if I can do that in the next 3 months I will be very happy. I'm on 19 points which is next to nothing in my eyes. How I am going to cope on that when I am away for the next 2 weekends I don't know....

    Hi peeps
    My weight - 11.4
    Target - 10.7

I started WW on friday and by sunday had gone 60 POINTS over!!!!!!! Thats a takeaway on fri and out to dinner Sat. Yest was the first day I was under my points. At the moment I am sitting here STARVING!!!! I'm allowed 22 points a day and am finding it very difficult to stick to. Yesterday I had toast, cereal and chicken enchiladas (small portion!) and that was my points gone for the day. So far today have had cereal (branflakes), toast (wholemeal) - all very boring. I caved and had some nuts too :( Am thinking if I stick to it 5 days a week and allow myself 2 treat days? It may be easier to stick to that way as I sure as heck cant stick to this indefinitely!!

RoxieW, you're not the only one struggling lol! I keep finding myself really hungry (and bad-tempered) - breakfast seems to take so many points!

Also thinking this could get pretty expensive, and I've been fighting with the shopping bill for a few months now. I need to cook for a 1yr old, a 2yr old and a slim (no matter what he eats, and he loves all the junk ) DH as well.

Wow most of you are much lighter than me - I'm more motivated though coz I feel a real fattie now!

I'd LOVE to be around 10st (about a size 10 for me) but just 1/2 a stone at a time methinks.

Welcome to everyone! I should say that I don't want to take anyone away from the half-stone threads and I will continue to post there myself, just hoping that it doubles the motivation! :o I didn't want to clutter up the half-stone thread with all the talk of WW, that's all. This is purely a 3-month challenge thread and there will be a few 'half-stoners' joining in I am sure (like Rotherham Lass ).

So I've posted all the weights in the first post, off we go!

RoxieW, are you logging any exercise you do to increase your points allowance? I have no idea how I am going to manage on just 17 points but am hoping to do more exercise to earn extra points. I am also going to cut down on bread, pasta etc as I read someone saying on the other thread that they are very high in points. But it is still scary! Logging my points will be very hard too as I cook almost everything from scratch...

NBirdy - I am with you on the expense! It is very hard. I think I may have to resign myself to higher food bills (why does fresh fruit cost a lot more than a value pack of biccies!) and look at it as an investment in my health and happiness.

Me too, I always seem to start the month full of optimism and resolve and post every day about how well I'm doing, then I tail off during the month as I get tempted by junk and am too ashamed to post!

OK, so some of us have joined WW on a 3-month trial for free thanks to the lovely Quidco : )

Someone had the genius suggestion that we should see what we get for our 5p (or was it minus 5p?) by tracking our weight loss in a dedicated thread. You can see by my sig that I have been struggling to shift weight since January, so I will try anything at this stage! The challenge will start now and finish at Christmas, when we will all post our finishing weight on Christmas Eve and then proceed to eat ourselves silly over the festive period (joke!!!). :rotfl:

Who’s in and willing to kick off with a starting weight? I’ll weigh in tomorrow morning and post the details…:T

Maybe the first post should have a list of members in it… so I’ll start:

    tara747 9st10lbs
    lexuslass
    NBirdy 13st
    kaza 10st
    tclci 13st3lbs
    Rotherham Lass 11st12lbs
    RoxieW 11st4lbs

I can't find anything on Quidco about a 3-month free trial, do you know if it's been taken off? The one I've found is £30 cashback. Does anyone have a link to the free trial one??

    Hi everyone!

I am going to start my weight on this thread the same as when I first registered with WW on Friday - 13st.

As I mentioned on the original grabbit thread, I was ill over the weekend and had lost about 4.5lb. Hopefully, by the end of this week, it will even itself out with me starting to eat again.

I'd like to ultimately get back down to the weight I was before I had my first daughter which was around 9 stone... I have had two more children since having her - my most recent being May 2008 - I can't go blaming my excess blubber on baby weight!! not now she is 16 months old!. It's a very optimistic goal I know, but I do have a pair of trousers that are a size 12 which I would love to get back into.. so am using those as my goal for Christmas! :D

I am at home all day with my two youngest and I am the same as you Kaza - I pick at bits all day!! I always skip breakfast and it gets to about 11.30am and I pick - at all the wrong stuff... I'm more of a savoury person tho - it's never chocolate, always crisps/cheese etc!! :o

I've not done bad these last couple of days - actually had breakfast both days which is good for me!! Still not feeling 100% and yesterday I only had 16 points out of my 23 allowance. Today, I am up to 10 so far..

Quidco were giveing £30 off but up until Sunday it was £29.85 to join (so free) but I believe its gone up by £10 now, so you still get it for £10.
