Way to go Teenie, SarahS and HollyH, and hello to everyone else who has joined.

I made the boys run to school (evil laughter) and did a brisk walk back. Now on intensive cleaning, and if I don't have to go to work off for a run later.

Trying to get the diet back on track too so muesli for breakfast, banana as a snack, veg soup for lunch and another banana before my run.

everyone else has made a good start, well done xx

just did some warm up on wii sports and day 1 of the wii active 30 day challenge and I am exhausted...fitness is poor and could really feel all the wobbly bits.

ok puff..puff... Ive managed..puff 50 minutes of step aerobics and rhythm boxing!!!

Feeling very pleased with myself as this is the first exercise Ive done [STRIKE]ever[/STRIKE] in a long time!!!

What's really embarressing though is how utterly uncoordinated I actually am. I kept falling off the board trying to get the steps right, with OH shouting "helpfully" behind me... "you're supposed to clap at the same time" clap? clap? CLAP??? I can hardly stay on the blasted board!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

It was good fun and I feel better for it.
OH thinks I should try for another go tonight!

A great big WELL DONE!! to all of you that had added exercise to your daily routine today!!!:T :T

    Aren't we doing well, already!!!!:D

50 minutes! You can't be that unfit! I tried the step last night for the 2nd time in about 6 months and could only manage 1 session - my legs REALLY felt it :o. Did manage 20 minutes in total though, but stuck to easier stuff - trying not to frighten myself too much LOL.
Really pleased with myself as I managed another step session this morning before work :j.
I can't do the clapping yet either. I keep trying but end up giving up & just flapping my arms like the penguins! Thankfully my OH hasn't attempted the step routine yet as I'm pretty sure he'll be able to do clapping AND stepping and probably something else too. He always seems to go one better than me and seems to have made it his mission in life to beat all my scores on the Wii :rotfl:.

Bargain Hunter - my daughter has made it her mission to beat all my scores on the wii! Problem is she's only ten and CAN beat me!!! Saying that - i've just unlocked the 5 minute step routine and beat her record so she's really miffed with me though it, apparently, makes me quite cool!!:rotfl:

I've not done the wii fit yet because I have builders at the front of the house and they can see right into the front room where the wii fit is - I don't want to give them nightmares!! I have managed a 90 minute dog walk though - spotty dog was most put out that I made her walk further than usual (though she only did 30 mins - neighbours dog did the rest!!).

I'll do the wii fit this evening after i've been taxi to all and sundry.

Thanks for the motivation....I have to do it because you all are xx

You are supposed to clap too ? I can't even manage my legs at the right time - the sideways bits really confuse me. Quite good at the hula hoop though.

I have done ten minutes brisk walk, plus 30 minutes jogging so can I have my exercise star now please :j. Quite warm out there. Quick shower then off to get the boys. We are off to the park on the way home so I can challenge them to round the obstacle course ten times. They love it but it does nothing for my reputation with the other mums though .

    :rotfl:@ penguins!!!

You think YOUR OH is bad???? Mine has decided to join my exercise kick.. but not by joining me on the Wii..ohhh noooo he went out today and bought a rowing machine!!!
Whats worse.. he did do the weigh in on the Wii today, and in the 6 months since we last used it, hasnt changed weight by 1lb:eek:

You'll be pleased to know I resisted the urge to punch him in the face:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Well done everyone...

I like the idea of the stars.. but wouldnt that mean we'd have to have a new thread each week??

Im off to collect kiddies now, and will try to walk all the way there, holding my stomach in (without peeing my pants:rotfl:)

    keep going...
