Just on the verge of getting the Fit Plus and board for my Wii. I've recently started going to the gym about 3 times a week and I think the wii fit would be good for those 'inbetween' days just to keep a bit active. Can anyone tell me if you can still 'hide' your weight on the Wii? There is no way I am buying it if it is there for the oh to see - he will just laugh if he sees my weight.

well i must admit that i've not been doing my wii fit :o

i have excuses - we're in the process of buying a house AND one of my male chinchillas turned out to be a girl - she gave birth to three gorgeous babies :T on tuesday so it's been a little busy around here :) i'm not complaining though - i think i still managed to lose weight, perhaps because i'm running around more than usual!

Hi Yorkielass hope your enjoying your Wii fit. What exercises do you prefer and what don't you like? I love the boxing and the yoga and my son has just shown me how to do my own routine/plan. I'm flippin useless without him lol.

Err I haven't been on the Wii fit either :o

My excuses are that my son is off school and I've been busy chasing round after him. Spent a lot of time at my Nan's and I have hurt my back again and my knee!!

I did a bit of yoga earlier in the week and it did help my back quite a bit so I'm off upstairs in a bit to have another go. Won't be burning off tons of calories but at least I'll be doing something :o

LOL at your sex changing chinchilla :rotfl:Have you had to change her name? Hope Mum and babies are doing ok :D
Even if you stumble, you're still moving forward.

oh dear! hope your back and knee gets better soon! my knees are bad too - not at the moment but i can't do any leg exercises like squats or lunges. i bought a powerplate last year (expensive, i know, but my doc told me i needed to strengthen my thigh muscles to try to help the knees but it's very hard to do when you can't do any proper leg exercises and my knees were hurting all year last year and i couldn't do any exercise at all... and it helped tremendously, worth every penny).. rant over :D

i know.. they're notoriously hard to sex but, my first one, i was told he was a girl, five months down the line he turned out to be a boy - which really was not a problem at all as he was on his own. also, when i was getting him, i wanted to call him stuart and didn't have a girl name ready so i called him chinchi while i was trying to think of a name and it stuck. so no need to change his name.
last year, i got him a friend. a 'boy'. took about month and a half to get them friendly (you need to keep them separately and gradually introduce them, otherwise they can kill one another) and once they got friendly, they absolutely loved each other - we were very proud of that as sometimes you just can't get them to get on. well, clearly, they were getting on too well! we had absolutely no idea that she was pregnant though apparently it's hard to tell even if you're in the know! she's called fluffy so no need to change her name either.
they're all good, she's running on the wheel like a lunatic. chinchi though, poor thing had the snip today.
the babies are good, but there's 3 of them and one of them has lost weight since yesterday. we'll check again tomorrow, he only weighs 38g today (was 40g yesterday), they shouldn't go under 35g so we'll have to take the big one (48g) out for a bit and give the small one a chance to feed.
they are absolutely adorable, they hug your hands and are very sweet.

    sorry about the essay!

Reset my goal recently, to take my target weight down to give a BMI of just under 25. However, was surprised to hit my original target today (BMI of 25 point something). :D That means I'm only slightly overweight, instead of fat, which is what I was when I started in January. I'm counting that as a win.

Am too busy to exercise everyday, but the body test has helped me realise when to reign it in and when it's ok to have a little treat. Have been lazy, but am still a fan of my wii fit. It's certainly helped change my attitude to food.

Going away soon, so worried what piggy will say when I miss my daily body test for the first time!

I think we all need to start getting back into a routine soon... maybe we need to set ourselves a challenge? We're setting a horrible example for Yorkielass! ;)

:T woohoo! that's fab! that's what i'm going for. to start with. i think mine's 26.6 or something.

am too busy too - life just gets in the way, doesn't it?

    challenge, bring it on! :rotfl:

I think we need to do at least 3 x 30 minutes a week, as a minimum. Given that some of us are currently doing 7 x 0 minutes, maybe we should work our way up to that target? So the challenge starts as 3 x 10 minutes and goes up each week gradually?

I know we've all been busy, so maybe we should take baby steps together until we get back into a proper everyday routine! ;)
