My son has convinced me to have my own profile on his Wii Fit thingy and my Wii Fit age is 41 (I'm 33) Last time I'd had a go was when he opened it at xmas and my balance was perfect because I'd really hurt my back so was moving very little. Now it's all over the place :rotfl:

Today I had a go at boxing and some muscle exercises. Tomorrow I'll have a go of some different things and see what bits I like.

Does anyone know how accurate the scales are?

The scales make me a couple of pounds lighter than the ones under my bed (which is what I go by). Once I put on 5lbs in one day on the Wii so they are not always too accurate. However, apart from that blip, I have remained consistently lighter on there.

Definitely the way to go - if you pick exercises/games you actually like as opposed to ones you think you should like, it's much easier to make yourself do some wii fit every day :)

I don't have any other scales, so can't comment comparatively. However, I have noticed the balance board can register weight loss/gain of 1/2 lb, which is accurate enough to me. :) The wii fit won't tell you you've lost/gained anything if it doesn't round to a whole lb, but it does show on the graph. If I feel a bit lighter/heavier within myself, my weigh in seems to reflect that.

That said, a friend of mine swears her wii fit said she'd gained a stone overnight once! ;)

Always nice to see someone new :)

Have you just started or have you been wiifitting for a while? Got any favourite exercises yet? :)

Clothes are getting loose now. Still some way to go before I drop a dress size, but I'm really pleased with my progress. :j

    Hi :D

Today I have done the first 5 yoga exercises and really enjoyed it, will deffo carry on with this. I haven't bothered to weigh myself again because I now I'll end up doing it everday and I'm not sure how accurate it is.... my bathroom scales aren't great either :o

I might buy some spare cables for in the living room so I have a bit more space. I'll just have to carry the Wii and the board down with me and won't feel so closed in upstairs.

I'm not trying to lose any weight but really need to tone up and be more supple. The thing that suprised me the most is how bad my balance is hehe :rotfl:It's really, really bad!!!

Editted to add, how many times should I be doing the yoga exercises? I done each exercise once today... am I meant to be doing each exercise 5 times, 10 times? I've never done yoga befor so I'm not sure if it's a repetative thing or not.

  • Go on then Whitewillow, you can join too ;-)

Progress report: Am coming up to the end of my 30 day challenge on EA sports active. Am quite satisfied with the results, I certainly seem to appear more "cut" with all the exercise and have a notably better physique. Am pretty satisfied tbh, have now turned the workout intensity to "High" and may look into a better band thingy as I feel it doesn't offer my arms too much resistance.

    Hi,

I saw the EA Sports on the game website and thought it looked pretty good. How would you compare it to the Wii fit/plus? I only started the Wii fit plus last week so I don't want to rush out and buy anything else just yet... but maybe in the future I'd like something a bit more challenging.
