  • Had a difficult week - have been working late whilst feeling poorly, so I've had very little time/energy to do much. That said, I've not been eating much (I calculated an average day's intake this week and it was only about 1200 calories) so I'm frustrated the graph started sticking/going up!

    Plan for next week:
    • back to a 10 minute work out before work (I'm feeling less ill, so should be able to start this again);
    • saying no to OH every time he tries to put more on my plate ("but you've been working really hard" and "there aren't many calories in it" is not bloody being supportive!);
    • doing more ironing and freestep (discovered yesterday I can kill two birds with one stone!); and
    • not beating myself up. I read on the internet that everyone plateaus at one point and that's when people get fed up and give up. I am going to keep going - I do so want to get down to a healthy BMI.
    I will be fit! Wii fit! :T

    Hope everyone else has had a better week than me.

    Can I join too? I just set up our new Wii Fit this afternoon to be informed that my Wii Fit age is 45 :eek: - as opposed to my actual age of 35.

    Of course Mr Smug Moog was just perfect and has a Wii Fit age of 5 years younger than he is. I was mortified.

    Anyway, I intend to use it in conjunction with Weight Watchers and am hoping that this will give me that extra push to stay on plan.

    I have set a target to lose 1.5 stone in 3 months, this will take me out of the obese BMI range and make me merely overweight :rotfl:

    My ultimate goal is to lose 4 stone eventually.

    I must admit, I've not been exercising daily for a long time, but because my eating is more under control, I've still been losing weight, just more slowly. I've been doing the body test each day just to make sure I'm not putting on weight. Tried on a dress yesterday, looked at myself in the 360 mirrors and didn't feel depressed. That was a really good moment. :D

    When I started, my BMI was close to 30. Now it's 25 point something. :) How's everyone else doing? Those of you who have only just started, have you found some exercises you like yet? :)

    hello guys

    sorry i'm kind of jumping in the middle (well, the end, technically) of this thread but i need to lose weight and would love to give and get some support.

    i've got the wii fit plus, i also have the sports resort and ea active. i love doing them when i do them... and then i stop.

    i have just had a minor surgery on my jaw and still feel a bit dizzy from the anesthetic, however, i'm back to work on monday and i took the dogs for a short walk today and was ok.

    so, if i pledge to start doing the wii fit on monday?

    Didn't know this thread was here and only been browsing for a while, anyway...

    My husband and I have been doing the wii fit plus together properly now for at leat a 2-3weeks and really enjoy it.

    I love games consoles and something that combines games and exercise (no matter how good) is a winner with me.

    My favourite thing is walking with my husband then being able to come back and add the time we went walking, onto our wii fits and seeing it on the graph.

    My favourite exercises are the boxing, snowball, (sorry I cant remeber names) the one where your in a bubble.

    Only things I find frustrating at the moment, are that it doesn't always register my punches with the numchuck (have tried different ones) only does it once or twice but its enought to wind me up, and Im not 100% sure how to duck.

    Plus Im not sure how acurate it is at coming up with my wii fit age, cause frankyl I think that just depends on what activities it asks me to do. If Im made to do the one where you have to stay in the centre and hit 1-10 in sequence with the will remote Im really good at that and get a very good score, but one or two of the others Im not so good on.

    Im 28 and I just went on the wii fit+ about 20mins ago and it said my age so far is 22 (go figure) Wednesday it was 35? Maybe thats just me I dunno.

    Anyway like the feature with the pig changing colour the more time you do, and the fact that you can choose an item of food and (like a chicken in our case which is 290kcal) you can try to burn off 290kcal that session.

    (Remember not to choose an item with to many kcals or you could be there for a long time trying to burn it off unless you know which exercises make you loose the most kcals lol)

    Glad everyone else seems to be enjoying it as much as me, only other annoying thing (which those doing it with friends or partners will notice) iss that I do really well sometimes and think hmm top score, then it shows my OH has the top score. At least it pushes me to try and beat him, though I do understand loosing weight shouldn't be a competition but the competitive side of it can make it more fun...

    (Sorry for going on I'll try not to let it happen again lol)

    did you calibrate the nunchuck for the boxing properly? before you do the boxing for the first time, it asks you to do the moves and calibrates the controls accordingly. if you've not done it properly - or not at all - it might not respond properly.
    not quite sure how to re-calibrate, you could try creating a new mii and go through the process and see whether that makes any difference? that way you'll know whether that fixes the problem.
    ducking - i think you need to do like a dancy wavy move - make sure you move both controls together as well as yourself.

    wii fit age.. yeah... i do find that it depends on what it asks me to do, however, i do improve on the activities i'm not very good at if i practice.

    i love the boxing too and table tennis. i love the step but would prefer if the segments were longer and more complicated.
