jeannie,
Thanks for the link. The hyundai does seem to tick all the boxes, I just don't want to go into the dealer and get taken for a ride when they say thats the best offer they can do, where realisticly they could offer an extra £500 off or something, if I just keep pushing. Similary I don't want to go in there ask for a £1000 off and the dealer gets frightened of because im not being realistic. If anyone has had experience with purchasing an i10 or any of the other Hyundai 'i' range, any input would be appreciated as to the sort of money you paid. It would be the i10 Comfort if I was to purchase.
I have found one or two double din in car units with gps/bluetooth/cd etc. but so far only really pioneer that produce them; and unfortunately they always come with the pioneer pricetag. Again, all and any advice is welcome.
Thanks

Do you have another Hyundai dealership near by? It is good to play one against the other! Trouble is, Hyundai are really doing well at the moment - I would normally suggest walking out if they don't give you what you want, but not sure that would work at the moment.Genie

So financially, they are the better bet - tho the waiting list is long.
It would seem from previous poster, that Micra is now French - so would avoid... whereas before, I would've recommended it. Unless you can obtain a Japanese made one.
The Micra is not French made and we've not had Japanese made ones since the 1980s, they are all made in Sunderland as is virtually every other Nissan in Europe. The Micra has some Renault parts and shares a platform with the Clio, not a bad car just not as good a previous versions.
Hyundai Auto is Hyundai Auto it's no longer associated with the electronics, ship building or container companies of the same name.0 -

You don’t need to have you Car serviced at a franchised dealer anymore in order to maintain the warranty. New EU law means that your Car can be serviced anywhere as long as they use official parts. There are numerous places offering this service now as much cheaper prices.
I'd post a link to it but it would seem I am not allowed....:o it is on page 2.0 -
Thankyou everyone for your input. I'm getting a quote from one hyundai dealer and then challenging another dealer to beat it. I'm also going to compare this price against the nissan and go from there. I think it might be best to start a second post for the double din gps unit as a correct topic title might attract people that have the knowledge.
I'm still not sold for what car I want so I'll see what prices they give and I guess that will be the deciding factor.
Thanks Again

thats right, but as jimdog has pointed out this might not be the case next year.
ive been lucky where ive always serviced my own car from new and the ford dealer i bought it from has granted warranty the twice i needed it, but from reading these boards over the past few years ive realised not every dealer is as easy to deal with as the one i used was....work permit granted!0 -
Pity the Huy has such horrible hard seats!0
