Snap been with aol 10 years and contract due to end 18th october router is faulty keep having to reset it so asked if we could leave early ... they wanted £10 for a month early after being a loyal customer for 10 years!!!! charming, can't wait to leave.
Think going with BT as the unlimited calls bundle will be good for us

It may not be a faulty router but a problem with the line or exchange.I worked for Sky Broadband for a long while in their Tier 2 & TSG & we got that all the time when the line was'nt set correctly.

I've been with AOL for about 8 years and just found out that they upped my monthly charge from £9.99 to £17.99 - about 80% - in July! (but that's what you get for not checking bank statements properly). I eventually got a reply from them, and they blamed BT and the high cost of maintenance. When I told them I was going to move they couldn't care less, just like in an earlier posting.
I'm thinking of adding broadband to my Sky package but being new to this forum I can't find much info on Sky. The package seems to work out at good price, has anyone got experience of them or can tell me where to look? Cheers Nick

They have recently introduced usage caps, 2GB on there base package, 10GB on there mid and unlimited on there max. Personally I prefer 02s £7.50 for unlimited 8meg
  • Hi jb66, many thanks for the info that sounds like a really good deal. I'm looking for unlimited but speed's not so important up here, a regular 3meg is still a dream. I'll check it out and hope it doesn't depend on being an O2 subscriber, I'm on Vodafone because the signal is a bit better!!

It does i'm afraid but you can use anyones 02 number to get the discount, (i.e family or friend or pay as you go or contract)

You get tyour first 3 months free and £50 cashback if you sign up through quidco or topcashback etc
