AOL Mac Code

Options
Hi, I'm looking to change from AOL to O2 for my broadband. Aol have said it will be 5 working days for me to be emailed my MAC code. Does it normally take this long or am I just being fobbed off?

have heard it can take that long before, but they should be able to do it more or less instantaneous, but perhaps they only have a couple of people there whom generate MACs
  • Hi,yeh we've just changed from aol & we got the mac code e-mail within 24hrs after asking for it,even though they did say up to 5 working days to recive,so id have a look at your e-mails.

I asked about 7pm last night, so I'll wait and see if it comes today.

already used quidco and its tracked. I'm just waiting to give O2 my mac code now and I'll be up and running. Still no sign of the mac code yet, so will probably have to wait the 5 days.

I checked Samknows.com and it says that O2 are LLU for my area, same as AOL, but they are still asking for a mac code.

i switched from a BT line to a LLU based providor i didnt need a MAC code and none was asked for.

Of course o2 may do things differently to my experience, thats why i presume you dont need one
