Screw in Curry - What to do

Just had a curry delivered. Was dishing out the rice to find a screw without the head in it. I am 9 months pregnant and cannot bare the thought of what would have happened if I had swallowed it.

My partner called up the restaurant and they offered to replace the meal or call up another time and get a free meal to the same value.

I do not want to eat from them again. How do I go about complaining to a higher means?

I'm sure you have swallowed a lot worse.

And you can complain to environmental health however the takeaway will probably just claim your a chancer who put it there yourself.

Do you think it was a shag aloo?
  • LOL yes ordering the curry was first step on the old wives tales to get the baby out, unfortuantly this wasn't the type of screw I had in mind for step 2.

I feel that dealing with peoples food is quite serious and they need a kick up the backside to be more careful. I am quessing they have old equiptment that needs to be replaced so not sure who to complain to...

Your local council will have a department which looks after food and restaurant inspections and safety. In my local council it's part of Environment and Planning. Contact them and report the restaurant.
