As I wrote a day or two ago....
"I'm computer-illiterate, so please someone who isn't tell us: how can saynoto0870 be operative in some parts of the country (as various people tell us it is, for them) and not in others??? Is Sussex---see above---run from Beijing? And is there any hope of the site returning to our screens?? Expert advice please"
My ISP is Supanet. But I'm so computer-illiterate that I still use dial-up, so it can't be a router problem for me.
I used to get saynoto0870 without problems. Now, for the past few days, I can't. So my plea for expert advice still stands, if there's anyone out there who still remembers grandpa's internet technology. COULD geography be involved, and how?!? More important, any advice on how I can get to the site?0 -

Put "saynoto0870" in Google as a search term. Click away on the first link. Report back here.0 -

I came across this posting on ThinkBroadband where the OP is also unable to access SAYNOTO0870.COM so I don't think you're alone:

I have raised this with site admin and they are looking into it. I will post again when I have an update on it.0 -
Thank you Brian and Dave. In both cases you mention the answer is the same: (from my Google Toolbar--cd that be relevant?) "Oops, this link appears to be broken". And no remedial efforts--a Google search, and action, as Brian suggests included--have any success.
So back to my query about geography? Surely the link can't be "broken" to a screen (Vista Home Basic-using--and what crap that is--if that detail cd have any importance) operating in Sussex, yet reachable from London and elsewhere?? Any ideas, anyone?0 -

I have been in contact with Daniel, site admin for SAYNOTO0870.COM and he is taking steps to try and get this resolved. I will post here when I get more information.
It's a DNS problem; DNS stands for "Domain Name System". saynoto0870.com is a "domain name".
The internet works on numbers called IP addresses rather than names like moneysavingexpert.com and saynoto0870.com. For example, MoneySavingExpert.com's IP address is 213.129.82.45. The domain names are there to make it easier for humans to use.
An IP address can be likened to a telephone number; people have names and you decide you wish to call "Joe Bloggs", so you look him up in your address book or phone book and get his number. The name is no good to the telephone network, it needs a number.
Similarly, when you enter a web address such as https://www.saynoto0870.com, the internet connection looks up https://www.saynoto0870.com to see what its IP address (number) is so it can make contact with it. The address book it uses is called a "DNS Server" and it is this which says what number (IP address) should be contacted for the SAYNOTO0870 website.
The problem is that the DNS servers used by a number of ISPs don't list saynoto0870.com. So they go to look-up the number for the site but it isn't there. Just like if you knew someone's name but you couldn't find their phone number in the telephone directory, you would be unable to contact them.0 -
Thanks, Donnydave. You add to my slim knowldege
But you open a new mystery. Until recently, I got saynoto0870 with no problem, now I don't. Could my ISP--Supanet--have moved to a new directory which omits it? I presume ISPs aren't bribed to block sites that some moneygrubbing big organisation (no names, no packdrill) finds inconvenient?0 -
If you can't access saynoto0870 try adjusting the MTU setting in your router.
You'll need to consult the router setup manual to find out how to change the setting.
After several weeks of being unable to access the site I adjusted my setting down from 1500 (recommended by my ISP) to 1478 and hey presto, saynoto0870 is back - if I reset to 1500 I can't access it.
