hi everyone,

I finally made myself bankrupt yesterday, after a couple of years debating about it I finally did it. Im so glad I did as someone said earlier I already no dreading answering the phone !!

I just wanted to thank everyone for all their help on this site, I wouldn't have been able to do it without you all. Even today Ive had help setting up a new account etc.

Anyway just wanted to say hi

Well done everyone who has done the 'deed' this month. I agree about the phone calls. One debt company has been harrassing OH on his mobile. I took great pleasure in ringing them back (OH was in bed after night shift) and gave them all the details!! Bit silly that I got such pleasure out of it but OH just kept ignoring the calls and it was driving me mad!
We still havent heard from OR yet. We were declared BR on 01 Oct. We are both still stressed about this but not sure if it is just NI or others have similar experiences. Spoke to the lovely lady in CAB and she said to give it til the end of the month and she would contact them on our behalf to find out what going on... We are trying not to panic & worry about it. But OH and I find we still feel like we have this 'weight' on our shoulders and 'Dread'. We both rush out to the post box or rush for the phone like mad people.

I suppose it makes a nice change from when we both left the postbox till it was bulging and left the phone on permanent message.

Sorry Forgot to ask for bit of advice re creditors letters:

Does anyone know if the OR needs to see all the chasing letters we are getting from the creditors or their debt companies/solicitors.

The reason I ask is that I have been redirecting our mail (at great expense with the lovely Royal mail) to our new home so that we could keep receiving all the creditors letters etc (i know MAD!) as Im not sure if the OR wants/needs the most up to date post from your creditors??

What have people found? Are you under any obligation to keep it? Its just re-direction coming to an end 06 nov and as the OR seems to be in no hurry to contact us, i would rather avoid more re-direction costs if I could???

Just wondering how everyone is getting on who has gone BR this month so far. My conifer is still alive and well so far.

I was declared BR 8 days ago and am waiting for the OR's office to call and arrange the interview.

Has anyone had there interview yet ? or had there date for the interview confirmed yet ?

Hi Crowman, I went BR monday my name went on the register yesterday and recieved junk mail already from companies offering post BR services!! I was told I would recieve the paper work in 1-2 weeks then telephone interview some time after as paper work needs to go in first. Have you recieved your pack yet? Im still waiting for co-op to send me a card bit worried i wont be able to change salary details in time!
