Jillie, hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of checking that the Dr was right in telling you to stop expressing... Sometimes Drs just tell women to stop breastfeeding because they don't know any different, looks like this time stopping is the right thing to do... Sami is right, you can ease the pressure with warm flannels in the bath or just expressing enough to make it more comfortable... Too much expressing will stimulate supply though... Paracetamol and ibuprofen can help with discomfort... And Weezl suggested a more supportive bra helps...

    thanks for double checking. :T
i have a good GP who checks in his book for me all the time. its also mentioned in the info leaflet as well.
am going to try the bath/flannels tonight. didnt want to express in case it caused more pain but if i wake up tomorrow like i did today i will certainly give it a try. might be better than the cabbage leaves that DH wants to take a picture of.... men!!!

It has been quiet today. We went to Homebase to check out wood for making a toddler bed for Alice this morning then went blackberrying this afternoon and I came back to find only three more pages since this morning.

Oh just went back to Homebase. Alice said, "Bye bye Daddy, bye bye Daddy, bye bye Daddy. Just Mummy and Alice, just Mummy and Alice, Daddy's gone to work." I guess she hasn't cottoned on to the fact that he doesn't go ardening at night.

right this is gonna sound silly bit how long does one of these boxes last you. I only ever buy the carry packs or the bigger ones of them as am always worried I will be left with nappies of the wrong size.
OMG are you serious? slap your wrists lady :p
When was the last time Henry went up a size? Chris was in sz 5 pampers for like 6mths and the jumbo/mega boxes are cheaper than the packs.
Ed has so far gone through 12 carry packs sz1(boots glitch), 1 jumbo box sz2 and 2.5boxes sz3's there's 2 sz3 boxes waiting for him next and I have 2 boxes sz5 huggies that I've just opened for Chris.
There's around 70 nappies in a jumbo box of sz5's like Caz I never run out so not 100% how long they last but I'd guess a box lasts 2-3 weeks
Hubby dispairs with my bulk buying because it looks like I'm buidling a fort out of the boxes! :rotfl:(besides the many nappy boxes I've kept some empties for ebay packaging and I have 5x 9pk bpxes of wipes too!) :money:
