Jillie a nice hot bath with warm flannels on ur boobs will makethem leak to releive the pressure with out stimulating more production. If that isn't enough you canexpress just enough to stop the pain. also ibruprofen but obv check it's ok with ur meds xxx

  • Jillie, hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of checking that the Dr was right in telling you to stop expressing... Sometimes Drs just tell women to stop breastfeeding because they don't know any different, looks like this time stopping is the right thing to do... Sami is right, you can ease the pressure with warm flannels in the bath or just expressing enough to make it more comfortable... Too much expressing will stimulate supply though... Paracetamol and ibuprofen can help with discomfort... And Weezl suggested a more supportive bra helps...

dentinox cradle cap stuff worked a treat on seth, but it never got very bad tbh cos we already had the stuff ready to use - when i was PG i spotted one reduced to 50p cos the box was a bit crushed and got myself involved

AF, the only thing that works for seth is to not pick him up. he still has night feeds (annoyingly though if he's ill we let him sleep in our bed, and he sleeps through without the feeds!!) we found if we picked him up for the feeds he would want to play, but if we feed him still laying in his cot he turns over halfway through the bottle and goes back to sleep again  we dont burp him either :o it doesnt feel so bad as when we got him up and gave him a bottle cos i just hold it through the bars and lay back down in bed :rotfl:

mmmmmmmmm fridge cake looks soooo good.... yet soooooooooo bad :D

how long does it normally take for antibiotics to start working for a baby? poor little man is still coughing like crazy :( i think its his own fault though cos he doesnt know to take it easy and is over exerting himself, throwing himself around everywhere! little monster ;) i just want to cough for him and clear his throat and chest, its so frustrating hearing him rattle and knowing if he would just cough it would clear, even if only for a few minutes!

I read that babies with a less than 6 month gap since previous sibling are 3-6 times more likely to come early.

They think it's something to do with how able the body is to create placental tissue if there may be a deficit of iron. (Or it may not be that at all, but that's one working hypothesis they have :) )

P.s Sami, I think you've known me long enough to know I don't mind sharing! :D:A

I'm the exception to the rule!:D (but saying that my iron levels were really good and always commented upon. Something I was worried about being a veggie).

It should be Poppy's Birthday today _party_ but she hung on in there for a further 11 days!

SB were the stairgates are marked dowb or was it when you got to the till? i just phoned my store and they said they are still £15?

Hi Caz, yes they were already marked down but I don't think the baby event actually finishes until tomorrow so maybe you could try then?

It was a smaller store and I don't think they normally sell them so it might be as Sami says.

How are things with you? :)

    xx
  • I was hoping our store would reduce them... I was actually holding out for the end of the event for them (last time I picked up a box of 9 wipes for a fiver too so hoping they might knock them down again) but I think they do sell them normally... Oh well, will just have to see on Monday... And there are 2 Asdas in town to try too....

Em try looking on YouTube to see if there is any how to vids of chest physio. I have no idea if there will be but it's too hard to explain in words coz there is a thing my sis has shown me, you kinda slap up n down their chest and then sort of shake their ribs and it makes them cough up the nasties.
See told you it's hard to explain! :)
