Oh, Rhys appears to have ticklish toes.. Not feet, just toes!
Best go make his bottle and meds.. only a matter of time before the crying starts

I didn't mean that in a horrible childlike way I just wondered if he'd given you an indication of his arrival time home. What a bummer you were hoping for a sleep catch up, never mind hopefully you'll get a nice long lie

Sadly not.. the milk machine must continue  It's getting to me now if I'm honest.. sometimes can't wait until he's a year old..

ETA: Enough moaning from me.. I should be grateful!
OH just got back :j0 -
Hi (if anyone is still up!)
cradle cap - I know someone has already mentioned it - but olive oil and a pastry brush left on over night always worked for us (and ds1 had it really bad up to 5/6)
af - somewhere in the depths of my mind I remember putting the top that I had been wearing during the day underneath baby when they went down at night - I think the theory being that they would smell mummy and would feel comforted unless there was a real problem like hungry/dirty nappy. Sorry all I can think of atm - worked well with dd1 and dd2 nothing would get ds1 to sleep through the night until he was 2 1/2  ime it is not fun to try the controlled crying method when bf
snuffly babies - I am not sure if someone has mentioned it (apologies if they have!) a folded up towel under the matress I think is supposed to help congestion... I think it works in a similar way to the feet/cup things you can buy to elevate one end of the cot.
Went to IL's  MIL told me how thrilled she was when she heard we had called dd3 Charlotte, then laughed and said "I didn't realise it was Scarlet"
then went on about a name being for life and you have to think about these things:mad: I replied that was the reason we had given her a middle name so that if she wanted to at a later point she could use it... FIL then asked if he could call her by middle name  DH misheard him (thought he said "do you call her by her middle name?") DH laughed and replied "no" (there are times when I love the fact that DH has a slight hearing problem :rotfl:) I guess it just means something (unkind) to their generation? lol please agree with me - or do I need to go change her name? :rotfl:
Anyway dd3 is asleep, DH is taking mum to the airport so I guess I'll do some ironing, night all x0 -
im still here ......... finally got jayden to sleep just waiting for philip and the lads to come home x

I am awake because I woke up choking!! You know when you have loads of saliva and you swallow it wrongly? That was me!!
Hope everyone had good nights sleep? If not (( hugs)) for you all, LO is still asleep after being put down at 8pm (that sounds lime I shot him!!) however he's at the other end of the crib compared to where he was put. He doesn't stay still even in sleep!!Mummy to D born 21/04/09 and S born 09/05/120 -
why early hun? (if u don't mind :undecided)
I read that babies with a less than 6 month gap since previous sibling are 3-6 times more likely to come early.
They think it's something to do with how able the body is to create placental tissue if there may be a deficit of iron. (Or it may not be that at all, but that's one working hypothesis they have
)
P.s Sami, I think you've known me long enough to know I don't mind sharing!

We are unsure whether our baby sitter does what we ask with Fergie when we're away. I really hope I can disconnect from any anxiety about that and be 'present at the wedding.
If it's ok I may post a piccie of fergie in the wedding outfit cos I think it was only 3

Morning all
wedding outfit pic please Weezl!
CB - good reminder about mummy-scented clothing for baby to sleep with.
A "scarlet woman" was a promiscuous one I believe, CB... I can't really see a very strong connection between "Charlotte" and some derogatory term of the 1930's, but what do I know
ignore them!
E woke sobbing again at 5.40.... so yes, pattern building there. Zombie me took 20 mins to settle him. He woke and complained again at 6.45, I cruelly completely ignored him and at 7 he went back to sleep for an hour! So that was worthwhile.
Supermarket trip out with the baby soon, looks like a nice day out there
